View Full Version : Grinding noise at 2000 rpm, maybe trans or exhaust ppavlik74 10-08-2003, 07:41 PM I get a grinding type noise at around 2000 rpm in first and second gear. it is silent in nuetral so that leaves me to believe its the tranny. I hear it reflecting of of parked cars and buildings. it sounds like it is coming from directly under the car in between the front driver and passenger seats. If you dont, check your heat shields on your cats.
