I was born in Burlington and I hunt pheasant around Columbus City/ Columbus Junction every fall. I was just there last week. Great hunting! We got 40 birds in 3 days!

You know, we moved from Burlington to VA when I was 3 so I don't remember Iowa... But we have posters of 'Steamboat Days" up in my house and I've never been. I've been told its a great fesitval!

awesome city lots of old buildings and cobblestone roads.My girlfriend and I get a hotle room down there for steamboat days for the concerts.Its about 2 hours down the river from me.Poison,Ratt,Def leapord,and firehouse played this summer 20 bucks for all four shows and its right on the dike overlooking the bridge:D

Yeah, I've seen Burlington plenty. I'm really familar with my midwest roots b/c my whole family is from MO. Everytime we go to Burlington I make my parents drive me by the house I was born in and I've been down Snake Alley (cobblestone) and seen the old buildings. The bridge going from Illinois to Burlington is gorgeous, they just finished that in the last 3-4 years.

Iowa seems like a great place to live. We have alot of family friends out there, including my God parents. The people are some of the friendly and warmest you'll ever meet (even though the weather ain't) but its just too flat for this southern boy. I love the Appalachains. can't live without my mountains.

I was born in Cedar Rapids. Lived there til I was 10.
It's a great place to be from.

But, I have no more relatives there that I know. So, doubt I'll be going their anymore. :(

I have lot's of fond memories of Beaver Park in CR.
