i just ordered a new fail safe thermostat and i know how to put the new one in but i am unsure on how to drain some of the coolant out and refill it without having air bubbles. i have a haynes manual but that dosent help much

When I did mine, I did not drain any' just let a little spill and simply added some back when finished.

to drain some, you would unscrew the petcock on the lower passenger side of the radiator. its a yellow or white plastic plug. just remove a litte in a good container so you can dump it back in when your done.

do you dump it in the radiator cap or the overflow tank
