Hi,

I recently purchased a 94 Explorer. I purchased it with the understanding the 4 wheel drive was not working.
The 4 wheel high indicator light is always on, but 4 wheel is not engaged.
A friend of mine looked at my truck and used some testers which indicated to him the signal was being sent to switch the truck to 4 wheel drive, but the truck was not responding.
Does anyone have any idea what will be involved in fixing my 4 wheel drive and what it will cost? I feel like I made a poor investment after trying to drive it on snow filled roads in 2 wheel drive!

this might or might not be the problem but try it go in the dash and plug the wires in again or go under the car and look at the plugs. it might nt be the problem but that happend to mine and that is what i did on the trail and fortunatlyit worked just a thought
