sounds very reliable :D

That stuff really works.

Hartman... are serious? How WOULD it work... how can wax scramble a radar gun?

13% is easily defeated by the +/- of a confidence interval. I wouldn't put my belief in its effectiveness; caveat emptor.

It clearly states that the product is "100% Carnuba Wax". It also states that the product contains "Rad-X" which is "declassified technology proven to reduce police radar detection up to 13%"

I can draw two conclusions from this information:

1. Rad-X = Carnuba Wax (because it is 100% of the ingredients)

2. As the geniuses of Monty Python once pointed out years ago, the phrase "up to 13%" clearly includes zero percent since the range of effectiveness is from zero to 13 percent.

My faith in humanity is somewhat restored by one other observation: At least no one has bid on it yet. :p

Never even thought of that, dogfriend. But you hit the nail on the head. I should sell an elixir (water) that will guarantee people can get laid up to 13% more than they usually do; probably find some bidders, too...

Maybe it's me but besides i don't believe their claims, the 100% carnauba threw me... Ain't it so that the higher the carnauba content, the priceier the wax... Such as zymol waxes, which can get pretty expensive.

Well any wax that says "100% Carbuaba" isn't really 100% Carnuaba. Pure carnuaba is hard as a brick. ALL waxes contain ingredients that soften the wax and make it able to be spread. They dont mean 100% of the contents are carnuaba, they just mean Carnuaba is the ONLY wax in the product.

That said, I'm sure this doesn't work lol.

4 days, 4 hours to go and not a single bid yet. What is wrong with you people. I know, you are all too embarassed so you just went ahead and bought it for $12.99 instead. But then again... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=50450&item=2450323198

It said if the winning bid is 49 dollars or me its for 26 bottles of the stuff...

Read the last line of the auction.. I guess he is going to start wholesaling the stuff!;)

Somewhere in the ballpark of $4.00 a bottle and he can probably turn a profit. Time and stuff taken into consideration. Unfortunately for him it looks like he is only selling one bottle.

I'm always skeptical of press releases that have obvious spelling errors in simple words.

an officer will aim his or her radar at or near your front and rear license plates or bumpers. it has to reflect back to the unit:) happy bidding

If you put Reynolds Wrap around your truck, maybe that would reflect radar.
(anyone ever see that CHiP's episode??)

Right now the only bid is $9.99. I am very skeptical one this one, I couldn't find any 3rd person reviews of this stuff other than this one. http://www.autoworld.com.my/EMZine/Review/viewarticle.asp?awReviewID=366&awCatID=RT.ATC.CAR.FS

Don't bother with that wax - this is the stuff you need if you are really serious about absorbing radar signals Eccosorb FGM (http://www.eccosorb.com/catalog/eccosorb/FGM.asp)

Luckily, it is available in a convienent Pressure Sensitive Adhesive version, so you can stick it directly onto the outside of your truck.

If you have to ask about cost, then you probably can't afford it ;)
