I had it on my car and I got 22 rwhp and 7 more mpg. It is awesome and I swear by it, I will never go without one. They even have then for riding lawn mowers and golf carts, when I can get the part numbers I am ordering them too, all of my vehichles would are gonna be turbonated and yours should be too.

lol if "major vehical manufacturers" have been using it for years, then it would stand to reason that you would already have one in your car, and thus you wouldn't need their junk :p

I know a mechanic that says they work. He knows his stuff, so im gonna go with him on this. The theory behind it does make sense.

Get a new mechanic. Even if it did work, you do not want turbulance in an intake charge you want velocity. The theory behind it is just as full of crap as the actual use of it. Sorry. :)

Lol dont matter to me, that guy knows his stuff, but i am unsure exaclty if he thinks those things are good since it came through a friend and not from himself, there may be conditions for such like certain vehicles. I personally would never blow that kind of money on something like that, i would spend that to get some manual hubs from a junk yard and maybe even a shift motor from a junk yard too.
