hey all, i am looking for the absolute brightest bulb to fit in my 92 eddy. i dont care if they aren't street legal - i want something that is at least 100w for high beams. i know the headlight lens is a shitty design and wastes a lot of light and turns it into heat, but i am willing to upgrade the wiring and harnesses to get as much brightness as i can get. i would even accept 100w/200w bulbs. i want super brightness, but stock appearence(altho in reality 200w would prob melt the lens and reflector  ) i can rig some transistor/potentiometer device to dull the lowbeam to legal levels, but i just need TONS of light from my highbeams while working at a scene and trying to clear traffic, and i want my car to be as stealth as possible when off. any suggestions?

get yourself some roof spotlights, not permanent ones, but 12v powered... i just picked one up at harbor frieght for $7 it is 3 million cp.... its a bluish 100 w bulb with like a 10" reflector on it... lots of light.....
or get some fogs and mount them behingd the grill

Try some fog lights on your roof rack. I fit 4 on mine and @ 55 watts each it lights up every thing. Great for flashing that a-hole that is pissing you off. You will have to drill it but if you take your time it will come out good.

i am gonna install a light bar here (http://www.code3pse.com/productdtl.asp?grp=cd3&familyid=1&id=5) so i need the space on my roof. the lightbar will prob have dual 55w takedowns, but i still want some light from my headlights. i have wigwags, and i think a very high wattage bulb will get some attenttion when trying to navigate through a dangerous intersection. am i just better off trying to find a "sealed-beam" that will fit where my current headlight housing is and modding it to fit?

i have whelens in the turn signal lenses(VERY bright), i have a whelen flatlighter, and i will soon have a halogen light bar. i need them more for scene lighting. strobes have too much "downtime" m,eaning they are dark longer than they are bright. i just want something that i can just hit the brights as i get out of my car and they will be on. i know i can wire anything to the brights, but i want to remain somewhat stock looking (except for the lightbar)

forget that lightbar and go with LED if you want to be stealth looking. thats what i have. i have 90w whelens in the corners and rear backup lights. i have able2 microlight LEDs in the grill, and whelen slimlighter ultra LED sticks in the front and rear headliiner. you dont need to have that huge lightbar. then you can save room on your roof to mount spot lights. the LEDs are super bright even in direct sunlight.
check this site for some good deals on srobe and LED
