Usually i get about 220-230 miles to the tank...but ever since it's gotten cold out ive been getting HORRIBLE gas mileage, like 10.5 mpg, and my last tank i only got 188 miles..does cold weather affect gas mileage?? any tips on how to make it a little better?? HELP:( i mean i kno it's going to be bad becuase of the V8 and the AWD...but still...

Yes, cold weather gas formulas result in decreased gas mileage.

right on ! same here....less in winter more in summer !
Cold weather AND winter gas result in lower mileage.

I get about 2 mpg less during the winter months. From 15-17 mpg summer to 13-15 mpg winter. Check your tire pressure. On cold winter months we tend to neglect this simple maintenance which is understandable because its TOO DAMN COLD!

I'll sometimes leave the M running when I go into a store. Some folks "warm it up" in the winter. All of the above posts and Mother Nature = poor milage in winter.
