OK so the other night i replaced my steering rack which turned out to be harder than expected. Long story short at one point i was laying under my truck and forgot i got crap all over my back untill i got outta my truck and saw all the grease/fluid/dirt crap on my seat. It cleaned up pretty well i guess but made me notice both my seats (tan interrior) were pretty beat..

conclusion: what kind of seat covers does everyone have? I dont want $20 ones that slide around and look like someone cut a beach towel.. but i dont want to spend a fortune. Starting next week i should be working at least 50hrs/week so i should have some extra cash.

-If i was to spend 200+ from what i see the Wet Okole seem to be top of the line.. right?

-Any nice seat covers out there for less than 100? if its upwards of $200 id rather spend $30 more and get the wet okole, their colors are cool, they're waterproof, and look excellent.

Ill ask color opinions later in this thread.. right now just need to start looking at options because i know you can buy these things everywhere, you just dont know how they fit until afterwards...thats where you guys come in :chug:

i used to have wet okole, there isn't really another worthy choice i know of

Katzkins are the top of the line, but your gonna pay for them. Wet Okole seem to be the next best choice.

i had a feelin this would be the normal response...

i kinda have my fingers crossed waiting for someone to say " I bought some ______ from ____ for $125 and they're awesome. Fit snug, waterproof.. deffinetally comparable with okole" ... but that would be a fairy tail i guess

You don't have to pay big money for waterproof seat covers...

I have these, X Bound seat covers. They've got all sorts of pockets to hold my crap, look good, are made out of nice tough cordura and they were cheap to boot ($20/ea at WalMart)

I didn't want those dorky flower seat covers, and these are really nice.

I agree, I can see you with sunflower seat covers before getting the hibiscus ones!!

hmm, now its a matter of color choices:
Though the red would match.. i think it'd be too bold. Dont know if the blue would go with my truck. but would the gray be too boring?

I would suggest gray if it were me buying them.. Not too flashy which i like

yea, id imagine the red or blue giving too much of a ricer image.. lol no offense if thats the color you have Hokie! i kinda like the blue but im thinking gray's the most logical choice.

If i went with Wet Okole it get the beige/black ones.. they'd match perfectly:

But for $20 i dont think i can pass up the x-bound ones ;)

Yea i got the gray/black x-bound seat covers. walmart was sold out of those and i didnt want red so i ordered them online. $55 after shipping for both.

To be totally honest- even if i had the money im 99% sure i'd buy these again over the wet okole. They fit like a glove, the pockets are awesome, love the material.. hell ive even gotten a few compliments from them already. No one believes that they're $25 seat covers. Not to mention water proof and inpenetrable....

Ill get someone pics if they want. But anyone looking for seat covers- these are the ones to get

Glad you found something that is decent and affordable, Pics would be cool, I can host them if you need, email em to me - mklukas@visi.com

//edit oh seems you are elite so you have some storage already :)

Is there an adjustment to make it all snug on the bottom?

yea, theres a bungee cord wrapped in the edge that comes out on the bottom/sides of the seat. Theres also a flat piece of material under the seat cover where it creases from the seat to the back rest, that gets pushed in between the cushions. You then take the bungee's pull them tight, wrap through the holes in that flat thing and then they hook on to two tabs back on the front of the seat cover... lol follow that?

I put those on in like 10 minutes cause i was rushing. If i ever feel like it i can make them sit more flush.. i just stuffed those edges under the plastic there (as you can see) so the bungee didnt get to accomplish its job. But they dont shift around at all.

Awesome man! Glad you like em! I first saw them in a yellow TJ and thought they fit the ticket for what I was looking for. They really are cool with all of those pockets and whatnot. I have the gray/black ones too and I get compliments on em too. If they made ones for the rear bench in a Sport I'd be all over em. The highest pocket (behind the head rest) are perfect for holding my Schrade multitool (like a leatherman) and the remote for my cd player, I fit all sorts of maps and cd's in the rear pocket and still don't know what to put in the side mesh pockets.

They really do fit the Explorer seats like a glove. I was surprised when I put em on at how well they fit. It takes a few days for them to get settled in (when I first put mine on I streched em too tight and it felt wierd against the small of my back until they got settled)

Best part is, I can hop right in the truck after a day at the beach or after mountain biking and not worry about putting towels down (which always fall down immediately)

I guess I should've said that Advanced has them for $25/ea... oh well

X~Factor, my covers are not as loose as his at the bottom

First: yea dude i owe you big time for this tip. Awesome buy.. and i wish they made one for the rear sport seats too!

Second: They're $25 at advance? Eh, i woulda spent $5 just in gas driving over town lookin for em.. so $55 after shipping doesnt bother me.. especially now! id pay a little more for em.. they're still miles cheaper than wet okole.

Third: yea X~Factor, dont let my pics deter you. I did them really quick. Theres still plenty adjusting to get the bottoms to fit tight.
