I have a stock explorer with no lift and i want to get a bigger tire, but i dont want to have to lift it. I want a wider tire but i dont want to get to tall; a 31 is too tall i would like to stay around 29.5 inches... i was recomended 265 70 15's thats about 10.5" wide you think that will look stupid ?
i have the stock 15 five star rim that came with the 93 explorer's and i would like to stick with them, i dont feel like spending 700 bucks on rims Any suggestions would be very helpful... thanks

I think a 30" by 9.5 is plenty. Anything wider might look strange. On my mom's 99' XLT, there are 255/70 16 that is about equal to a 30x9.5 15. It is about maxed out without any lift.
