Vehicle Specs

Width & Offset

I need some help. I've recently installed the X-Spec handling kit from Explorer Express on my two Explorers. Now that I've done that, I want to change tires. However, I'm in Venezuela, and I don't have the options you guys in the States have. So, before I make my decision, I want to make sure I've got all the info I can. The only thing I know for sure is that I want to put Pirelli Scorpion Zero tires on my vehicles (we're street people, not off-roaders).

What I need to know is, for the following tires, what is the recommended wheel width and offset to fit on our lowered (1 3/8") Explorers. XLT and LTD refer to our Explorers, a 98 XLT 4x2 and a 2000 Limited 4x4.

255/60 R15 (XLT +0)
275/60 R16 (XLT +1)
285/60 R17 (XLT +2)
275/60 R16 (LTD +0)
285/60 R17 (LTD +1)
285/55 R18 (LTD +2)

Thanks for your help,

Don Kirk
