Question 31x10.5 on a stock rim

I know that a 31x10.5 will fit on a stock 7" rim, but is it advised? How will it wear. (I don't really want to buy new rims).

Yah, a 31x10.5 can go on a stock rim, and it will get normal wear.

You'll be fine. The size is perfectly fine for the rim and will wear normal.

The BFG website recommends a wheel width of 7.0-9.0" for a 31x10.5 tire, so you'll be good to go.

NO Boundries,
Do you have the torsion twist and shackles?
If not, do the 265/75's fit without rubbing??
Thanks,
Rob

The 31x10.5 will work just fine on the stock rim. It'll look really great too. Send us some pics when you do it!

Are you stock

Gimp,

I couldn't find anywhere in your profile if your Explorer is stock. If so, do you have the BFG AT KO 31X10.5X15 and is there any rubbing in extreme conditions? I've seen comments both ways on various models, but since I have the exact model as you I'll get the truth. Have you experienced the 65mph shakes?
