New Gears???
I want to get 3.73 ratio gears for my 93 X so I can run 31's. Whats the best and cheapest place to get them? Also, how much would a typical auto shop charge me for installation?
Thanks Tim

What gear ratio do you have now?
The cheapest way to get them is to get them from another exploder You can change out the front 3rd member. I bought my from dre for 150 and you can just get a whole new rear axel out of a newer explorer with 3:73, limited slip and disc brakes for around 300 bux Thats a total of 450 if you go and have them ordered and installed it will cost you around 1500 to 2000. and that would be no L/S or rear disc brakes of course you will have no 12000mi or 12 month warentee. Just a suggestion Ryan |

junk yard is probably the best place to look for these ar simply check "Wanted-For Sale" board often and buy it from someone off the board.
If you're upgrading..... I'd go for 4:10 gears..... |
