Question Auto-Manual Tranny swap - Intro?

I am thinking about swapping my auto tranny for
a manual when it "does" go out. I'm on 95,000
miles, so thinking sometime in the next 30k.

I was wondering what is the best to replace it with?

I have looked on E-bay and found some manual
trannys that claim to fit 4.0L Rangers, Explorers,
and Bronco IIs. Is that reliable?

Also going to do a switch to a manual transfer case,
but later on. MIght do it when I do my tranny, not
sure, thats a lot of money to shell out all at once.

My truck is a 1994 Explorer Sport 4x4
A4OD Tranny
Stock everything!

Anyone have any great advice?

thanks all!

if your gonna do the swap make sure you get the correct ecu auto trannys and manual trannys have different ecu's. the tranny swap will be a pain in the arse. you will need to do alot of cutting and custome work .. Have fun
