Angry LITES OUT ??????

All of a sudden the LED Display on my radio started going on & off---now they are off all the time---Is there a fuse somewhere for the display or is the system shot????

Sorry to tell you this, but this problem happens a lot... there is a thread on here that says how to fix it.... but for ease, i would just replace it with an aftermarket unit anyway

I'll bet its a short in the radio somewhare. I can't imagine a seperate fuse somewhere just for the lights on your radio.

You are probably gonna have to repair or replace the radio itself.

Someone posted a complete description and pictures of what needs to be fixed. Aparrently the power distribution board inside the '98 and up Stereos have bad solder joints on them. It is the board that is about 2 1/2" wide by 5" long. Heat up all the solder joints and apply new solder to fix it permanently. I haven't had to do this to my '97 so this is all I remember from the instructions.
