Vehicle Specs

275/45-20 or 285/55-20?

which tire size fits better on an x? 275/45-20 or 285/55-20? the rim would be 20x8.5. would the 285 be too wide? i was hoping that with the thicker sidewall it would ride better and wouldn't look like it needs to be lowered.

what do you guys think?

275/45. You'd probably be OK with a 285/55, but that is just a humongus tire. Plus, you can't beat the price for 275/45's.

If you want a little more sidewall try 265/50-20s they are a bit taller then the 275s

that sounds like a good idea. i dont really like the rubber band look, but i love the big rims. and plus i want a little more of a cushion. I have to stop looking online and get my A$$ to a shop and really see these things. There are people around here with them but i dont know any of them.

thanks

the only problem i see with the 265/50's is it sends the price up about $200, compared to the 275/45's.

285-45-20 will give you a 5" sidewall. i think that would be plenty.
