Question final 2: pirelli's v. yokohama's

pirelli scorpion A/T - off road all terrain
yokohama geolander A/T plus 2 - off road all terrain
yokohama geolander H/T Y816 - highway all season
yokohama geolander H/T-S- highway all season

i have heard good about all of them. i'm looking for a smooth ride. don't do much off roading but we do get enough snow here in pa. i heard the pirellis were smooth and their only flaw was a humming noise. i also heard that they come in 2 and 6 ply. i would obviously want 2 ply for the comfort but tirerack does not state whether they are 2 or 6. they do have great comfort ratings though. should i contact them first to make sure they are 2 ply? as for the yokohama's, i have heard reall y all good, just that not to many people have them and they lack reviews. any comments you have would be great. thanks

I have the yokohama AT +2s, they are an excellent tire with good road manners, and they grip in the snow pretty good as well. The tire store that sold them to me said his wife got 42,000 miles on her 93 ranger 4x4 with proper rotation, she won't let him put anything else on there. I think offroad they will work well, haven't been able to try them yet. Hope this is a help.
