That was over nine years ago, the last time I ever got pulled. It should have been a mandatory "reckless" ticket, but I was nice (imagine that) to the cop and he just gave me speeding.

couple weeks ago i was going 75 in a 55 and just got a warning, i even slammed the breaks when i saw that it was a cop, hell come to think of it he didnt even run my information, he took a look at my ID and insurance card and said to slow down

105 thru a stop sign, I was drag racing a guy from school and was winning, when I blew the stop sign he started to chase but was almost wiped out by the guy I was racing, they met at the corner at the same time. He was more pissed at the other guy, only gave me a failure to stop ticket.:D

97 in a 55 and only got a $75 and the insurance company doesnt know about it. I like when I get pulled over in other states.:D

85mph in a 25mph zone. I was on my motorcycle banging through the gears still accelerating. Got a court date and paid a fine that almost brought tears to my eyes.

Back in 1981 got caught doing 72 in a 40 zone. $130 fine, lost my license for 15 days, had to go to traffic school :( .

I got a 227 km/h in a 120 zone ticket right by the Frankfurt airport on the autobahn in Germany about 20 years ago. Worst part is that it was photo radar taken from a bridge. Even worse - it was my bosses car who was a full bird Colonel ( O-6) in the Army. And even more worse was that they sent the pohto to her in the mail, and you could clearly see me driving the car, with the digital readout of the speed in the corner of the photo. And to make matters worse, I wasn't supposed to be driving the Supra, I was supposed to use the minivan to drive up and check her house while she was on temporary duty.....

Oh yeah, and I got pulled over for 122 mph in a Cadilliac DeVille (rental) in Pioche, Nevada ( middle 'O nowhere). I was given a "waste of resources" ticket and paid the $15 fine to the Officer on the spot, and released. It never showed up on my record.

DUI, intent to drive after unlawful consumption, posession of narcotics, posession of drug paraphernalia, posession of illegal fireworks, posession of tobacco by a minor, speeding 78 in a 45, wreckless driving, exhibition driving, disturbing the peace X2 for loud music, window tint, failure to yield which led to an accident, and my personal favorite was racing at 60 in a 45 on my cell phone about two car lenths in front of a riced out honda on the radar camera down in phoenix- they actually mailed me a picture along with the ticket. lol, its a classic- i'm just chilling with the phone in my hand with a huge grin on my face laughing at the civic.(i later got out of that one completely)

all of those tickets have occured at one point or another in EXPO's infamous existance. lol. and i'm only 19 and can still afford my insurance.

EXPO-u must have a darn good job!!!

the trick was to get most of those tickets before i was legally considered an adult so that all they did was take away my license until i turned 18, then since then i've had good luck in court and a good lawyer.

Ive heard that places like the open flats of wyoming or montana will give you a $5 fine you can pay on the spot if youre speeding, no matter how fast. My teacher was telling me that he was in his friends jaguar going 140 in the middle of nowhere in nevada and when the cop came up to his window after pulling him over, he said something like, "Well goddang, do you know how long it took me to catch up to you?" He paid the 5 bucks and got up to 140 again.

Been driving 3.5 years (or 4.5 years, if you count a permit) and have only been pulled over one time.

I was in my 84 S-10 Blazer doing 62 in a 45 without knowing it, as I had been futzing around with the speedo because it was off and ended up breaking it, sticking it at 85. Got completely out of the ticket because I proved I got it fixed that weekend and it was my first ticket, haven't been pulled since, despite some rather occasional hazardous driving :D

Well Ive been driving WITH my licence(where I can drive alone, not learners) for 3 months and never been pulled over or gone through a road block or anything.

I have been driving for about a yearish and the only cop encounter i had while I was driving was me and my friend went through a road block at 2am and I was freaking(15 years old) but i just pulled up all calm and asked him what they were looking for and he said "stolen car, where are you guys going this evening?" and I just simply replied "Girlfriend, want to see her picture?"(trying to change the subject) and he said "no thats alright have fun tonight"

almost 2 years of licensed driving ... only one ticket which nothing happened

80 in 65 on freeway ... got a "slow down"
40+ in 25 and rolling thru stopsign "slow down"
racing a motorcycle and getting humiliated "now you now you cant beat those things"
and how could I forgot getting caught by the new fangled red light traffic cameras ... got a nice ticket of 3 angles of me running the light. It had only been red for .01 seconds though .. so it was bs. my mom didnt fill out the ticket right, so no points and no traffic school.
and my personal favorite:
having the cops thinking i had guns in the car, and setting up a roadblock on a main city road in all directions and detaining all 6 of us (one laying in back) at gunpoint. aaahh memories.

The fastest I was ever caught going was 83 in a 50, with 3 minors in the car at 3:00 AM, All the cop said was to be careful because there were three more state troopers up ahead and then he let me go. However, a few months later I lost my liscense due to having 17 points it (you're only allowed 12 in OH)!!! I got the tickets too fast for the computer to stop me at 12. 6 month suspension plus I had to carry high risk insurance for 5 years, which just came off last August. After I got my liscense back, my record was clean and clear. Since then I've only been pulled over twice.

you're only allowed 12 in OH Must be nice. In PA if you get 6 you need to take the drivers tests over again and at 7 you loose it until your under 6. Every year 2 points go away. I got pulled for 73 in a 45, and got 5 points for it. Oh, and all moving violations in PA are at least 2 points.

Back in 1971, right before entering the Army, I got nabbed in downtown Phoenix drag racing another kid. 2 days in lock-up, the judges recommendation to sell the car (which I did) and a $310.00 fine later, I was released to "go and sin no more"...

It was a nice car,tho...Hated to sell it. :(

I got a 125 in a 55 in Va. going back to base, and I was late, but the base was in NC and I live in NJ, so didn't get in trouble, just $100, and suspended for 3 months. still drove through, just went slow. I was in an 88 grand am, the speedometer only goes up to 85.

My friend had a 145 in a 35.

Worst ticket I ever got was when I was out wheeling. Me and about 6 other vehicles were pulling over the top of a hill when the damn game and wildlife warden sat at the top in his bronco and waited for us to get there. We all got $65 fines for improper trail use.

haha... i win. pulled over going 170 in a 76 sting ray at about 4 in the afternoon down a two lane high way... didnt even see the cop and pulled us over at the gas station. they didnt even let us drive home. 90 day suspension and 220 fine. then once again my buddy and i were comming home from the races in his 69 camaro pushing about 650hp and there were these lights right on our ass so he threw it down and took off... then once again there are the lights.... we take of again... then all the sudden he flipped the lights on... but he got out of it... when the cop asked how he had such a nice car... he said it was his dads and he just died and his mom was real sick.... so he just let him off... the funny thing was the cop said riht when he came to the window was " looks like you won the race "

Thanks to the intervention of my father's legal team, only my most recent ticket is stilll on my liscence. But not for long. It was in my father's Intrepid, going 81 in a 65, and I got caught by the air patrol. $206 ticket for only 16mph over. Luckily it hadn't been a few miles earlier, when I was cruising at just over 100mph. I don't even wanna know what kind of fine that carries.

Worst I've done was 115 in my 1993 Accord on the interstate trying to catch up to some friends. I guess I could have had them slow down, but what's the fun in that? :D

when i was about 13 i was with my dad in his new toy shortly after his divorce, an 86 or 87ish porsche 944, and we got pulled over doing 139 on a highway to nowhere in nebraska. i mean, what was this cop doing on a road that we hadnt scene one other car on for the last 20 miles, hiding behind a an old barn on the side of the road. (methinks a little nap or some other sort of relaxing activity was going on) Then, my first truck, a 92 Chevy 2500 with a 454, at the age of 15 on my way home from school (school permit) i got clocked by the local sheriff's deputy doing 124 (yes, that was extremely scary and fun at the same time, that truck could move) on the same frickin highway. Luckily, that deputy was also my high school soccer coach, and i paid for it in practice that next spring.

me and my friend were doing right around 150 in a turbo'd 300zx and got passes by a trans-am. he was probably doing 170-175

80 in the 65 on the Jersey turnpike (I was only two miles from Delaware too, DAMMIT). The ticket got mailed out with the bills by itself, no envelope, no nothing and it took the Post Office two months to get it back to me....mailed in the payment, got it back a week later with a letter saying that my $88 ticket now had late fees, court fees, and that fines are doubled on the turnpike, for a grand total of $300 !! :eek:


Got yelled at for tresspassing once when I went night wheeling, too....

Still can't hold a candle to you guys though!

He just got caught up in the moment because all different threads create different attitudes. If some ricer came on here saying explorers are gay then we would feel anger to him. Chicago to Carbondale- '81 Audi 5000 floored out until the last overpass before Carbondale when I decided to throw it into Neutral and coast it down. My Escort's meter pinned as I came over the top of the bridge.

Numerous runs from Chicago to St. Louis- '82 Audi Coupe always floored out. One time I heard over the CB Southbound he is right in front of you. Hit the hooks just in time for the Escort to get pinned. I hate it when they don't leave the radar guns on.

Denver to the Illinois border- '87 Chevy Astro floored out as usual all night. Have to love Escorts, CB's and truckers. My mom and brothers flew home with a layover in Denver. I got home an hour after them. Mom was slightly confused, my brother was doing the math.

100 MPH+ in the 20 MPH streets of ISU Champaign/Urbana- '85 Honda V65 Sabre Well that is what happens when somebody on a Ninja1000 and a Suzuki 1100ES thinks they are faster than you. Had to correct their thinking.

165+ in a 55MPH- Same weekend. An old man wanted to run his Pantera and who was I to dissapoint him. The Speedo's pin hits at 165 and the tach just kept going. Never did find top end on that bike and now I not sure if I'm dumb enough to try.

130 MPH- 86 Porsche 944 Coming into an underpass with the Escort going off. 55 MPH out the other side.

Got pulled over in the Ex doing 105 in a 70 in Paw Paw, Michigan... I was on my way back to school and just flying past the rest of traffic (it was cool, everyone in the passing lane was also getting out of my way), and I had not seen any cops for a long time so it seemed safe (in terms of not getting pulled over -- definitely not safe to go that fast). So I am cruising along, when I look in my rearview mirror and all I could see was a big suburban riding my ass.

First thought: "What the hell is this jerk doing riding my ass, I'm needled out!!!"

That's when I looked again and noticed the lightbar on the dash of the suburban.

I moved over to the right lane and then to the shoulder. Cop walked up and asked me if I knew how fast I was going. I said "Nope, but I know the needle was down here (pointing to the Overdrive symbol on the gear selector). He told me he had been following me for about 3 miles, going 105 to catch up to me. (This is why I still contest that I was not doing 105, because if I was, he never would have caught up to me). He was actually not a dick about it though... He just confiscated my license since I could not pay the ticket right then and it was an out of state license, then he told me "You're blowing by everybody on the road, man! Slow down, because there are about 4 of my buddies parked up the road".

I paid the ticket the next day (It was about $250) and my license was soon mailed back to me. Insurance never went up, but I got the points on my license. I considered going to court to fight it and try to get the speed dropped to 95 or so, but then decided I would just bend over and take it because the court house was 4 hours from my home.

That was 19 months ago now so all the points are off of my license.

It was two years ago in the summer I was riding my Hybusa on I-70 in Maryland past the weigh station in Howard County doing I say close to 140 MPH if not more. When all of a sudden I see a Maryland state trooper in the emergency crossing. Let's just say when I saw him, I quickly turned off at the next exit and decided to take the back roads home. Since then I have sold that bike, thank god. That thing was costing me an arm and a leg for insurance and now I stick to Harley Davidson. Thats enough excitement for me.

a cop stopped me for going 58 in a residential zone, but right as he is getting ready to walk back to his car to put my info in his computer, i hear over his radio "officer down!" and he says "consider this your lucky day" and just let me go! :D

another crazy speeding ticket story happened to my friends father.....he got pulled over (i dont know how fast and in what zone) but he realized that the cop wrote down his birthdate wrong. when he went to court he said "if the cop cant read my liscence how do you know that he can read a radar gun?" then he got off of the ticket

No insane would be going over 200 MPH and knowing it. Fortunately, I have never had a speedo read that high.

80 in a 55. cop pulled me over walked up. talked to him for a min and had him say he was sorry for pulling me over.

75 in 35 while passing a cop. Woman cop got out and asked if i know why she pulled me over I said ya. I passed you. she said yes. gave Her my ID she said she was sorry for pulling me over and told me when i see a cop slow down a little.

My father is a retired Captin from the NY MTA(28 years). My truck is in his name for my plates. and if i get a ticket it goes on his truck. No cop (well most) caops ont give another cop a ticket. Once i got pulled over and the cop gave me a seat belt ticket for doing 94 in a 55 (moving with traffic) he also pulled over 3 other cars at one time. I have also passed a cop and he pulled next to me and waved =)

PS. BTW those are National Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) Plates. You must be a Cop or retired cop to get them. If i get a ticket it makes the Lodge look bad ;)

Is there some sort of limit (maybe >10 over) for the cops to give you a ticket? Ive heard from several credible sources that cops cant give you a ticket for going under 10 over, but I dont know...

Oh and by the way, I was going 64 in a 55 down PIB right where theyre extending sugarloaf pkwy into it and it gets three lanes wide. There was a large moving van sitting near the end of this long straightaway going down a hill (jasonb and others probably know where Im talking about) parked in the white striped area in between the road and a turn lane. As soon as I pass it I see a cop peeking his radar gun around the side of it poised to get on his bike. He didnt pull me over which was surprising because I was ahead of a large group of cars and pulling away from them. im not complaining, just saying they seem to use some sort of discresion (sp?)

94 in a 25. Got out of the ticket, the cop knew my father-in-law who is an ex lake county sherriff

The only ticket I ever got was for an illegal lane change. I didn't deserve the ticket, the cop refused to testify against me in court, and the charges were dropped :D

In Georgia, if a cop is using radar, you can't be pulled over unless you're going more than 10 over. But that only applies if the cop is using radar

The speed limit is just that....a LIMIT.... It depends on the state. In PA they give you 4mph for speedo calibration.

AFAIK, most states give you a little for speedo calibration, but you should also bear in mind that your speedo may very well need calibration ;)

102 in a 65 in VA. Had a 90 Eagle Talon TSI.

Learned my lesson, $500 fine, 6 month suspended license and 5 days in jail for reckless driving. Of course I didn't get my trial till about 6 months after the ticket, the time in between was just happy motoring. Oh I forgot to mention that the judge gave me a continuance because I showed up with out a lawyer the first time, and he recommended I have one. That was another $500 that did no good.

At the time I was in the Navy, My command thought the whole thing was ridiculous and just put me on leave for 5 days.

all states are dif of course, but last I read up here in Alaska, you lose no points off your license, and it's only like $1/mph over the speedlimit. So goin 5 over, you'd have to pay a whopping $5 :rolleyes:

90 in a 45, pulled over for tailing the cop ( I thought he was long gone) & speeding. Let me off with a warning because we had the same birthday (after messing with me for about 10 min).

Closest to going to jail:

Pulled over on the way up to go skiing. Small town cop didn't bother to run my info - just gave me warning & a smile. Too bad for him since I was driving on a suspended licence and had a warrant out for my arrest. By the time he came back with my info I had already given my buddy my ATM card, PIN #, and instructions on bailing me out. I thought for sure I was goin' down.

Strangest:

Few hours east of houston on I-10 heading back to phoenix, highway patrol pulls me over at 2am on a sunday morning. Two choices: go wake up the judge or go back a few exits to the ATM and I could just "pay him". $130 (and a hand-written receipt) later, I was on my way but not before his bother-in-law (the city cop) and his cousin (the sheriff) drive over to see what's going on.

127 in a 50 - all four wheels locked solid - smoke rolling

You should have seen that state trooper - I thought he was going to roll that car trying to pancakae it around in that road! He said that I was much faster, but the radar wouldn't lock in because I was decellerating too fast -

Those were the days - hundreds of dollars in insurance over the normal rates - a set of tires every other month - sometimes 3 tanks of gas a night (the chev got 4.5 mpg - but what a thrill!) - I should've died but God was good and let me live long enough to mend my ways and become a preacher!

And some of you guys think we never had a life... Oh, the stories I could tell. Now, I try to keep it sane and get my adrenaline rush at lower speeds crawling rock with the Ranger.

my worst ticket was in my 96 SHO with nitrous....I was doing 154mph and the LT1 Dare Camaro behind me only did 150 (older iroc)....I didn't know he was behind me and finaly he hit his lights.....I was 18....got dang lucky....cop was pretty cool about it I got a 110mph in a 55 ticket....that one ticket alone made me hit up traffic school or have my lisence suspended.....since then i've had 8 tickets...5 are on my record....

16 years old with a NY junior operators license (no driving alone after dark) alone at 2 AM after 2 beers in Mom's caravan. I paniced when I saw the cop and outran him for a while. I then heard on the police scanner in the car that they knew who I was and were just going to meet me at home so I pulled over and waited for him to catch up. Lucky for me the local cop was a high school friend of my dad so he wrote me for 85 in a 35 instead of the 114 he clocked me at. His excuse was that was as high as my speedometer went and nobody would believe the 114mph anyway. I paid over $300 in fines and spent 4 months washing police cars for community service. Worst of all when the cops called the house Mom said "you can keep him". She came and got the car and left me behind until after noon that day.

Got pulled over doin 98 in a 65 in my old honda accord with 3 other people in it. i was doing 120 until i slowed town when i saw the cop

Lets see now, 84 in a 65 on the NY Thruway, the cop popped out of the woods out of that i got a 30$ ticket, RAcing on the highway, the cops thought i was racing my friends 2001 Trans am WS6 with headers, intake and 3" exhaust who dynoed at 340 at the wheels, and i have a Freakin OHV stock, lets just say that when they pulled him over i was about 3/4 miles back. Thanks to my lawer i got a 230 dollar ticket without any points, it would have been 5, my friend got a 430$ ticket but was supposed to get 15 points.

This one is the worst, 80 in a 50, tailgating, wreckless driving, tints, illegal lights, and the best thing is that i got nothing out of it, cause my best friend who was in the car with me his brother is a cop in the town over, man that cop was so pissed that he couldnt give me a ticket, he was in my face screaming at me for like 5 mins, i thought for sure i was not going to have a truck or a liscence by the end of the night, I was following my friend in his WRX and he was messin with some kid in a civic hatchback, so i pulled up real close the the civic and then slowed down, all of a sudden i see 2 cars pass me and my other friend on the emergency lanes, i was like wtf are they doing and then i read Fairfield Police on teh sides, at that point i knew i was gettin pulled over, after passing the civic and wrx they proceeded to block off the whole highway and pull over me the wrx and the civic

not sure how fast i was going the ticket said 110 plus. i was in my 93 mustang. i was racing a camaro with 2 guys in it and they lost big so they went and got there buddys camaro to try again thats when the cop got me. the ticket was for 500 dolars. i was in a 55mph zone. luckily it was just a speeding ticket and not for racing cuz the other guy smartly left when the cop left him to come get me.

I know this is really random, but did you know that when the police in Michigan pull you over, they walk up to the back of your car and they put their hand on the trunk? That way, if you happen to kill the police officer on this traffic stop, they can identify your car because it has the cop's fingerprints on it.

I dunno, I just thought that was kinda interesting

So when they see a car that matches the description, do they pull it over and run up to back and dust the trunk really quick? :D

I heard it was to make sure the back was closed, because there have been instances where people hopped out the back while the officer was talking to the offender, and they have shot the officer I believe, so thats why I believe they check to make sure back doors and trunks are securely shut.

Just to add to my record some ******* cop pulled me over tonight at 245 am just because my blinkers were white which makes them illegal, why cant cops just get a life and focus on the more importiant stuff

I got pulled over 5 times withen my first 6 months of driving- most were BS because the cops around here are jagoffs with nothing else to do. The worst ticket I got was a 48 in a 25 while blowing stopsign. Once I was doing about 105 in a 55 and my buddy that was following me in his 99 dakota slammed on the brakes because his radar went crazy. I got off at the next exit and almost crapped my pants.

Sure, they're busting people for ONE MPH over here in Arizona. on Loop 101. That's the one part of PA traffic law I like. They give you 4mph for speedo calibration.

Cop gave me a break down to 74 in a 55.
Then gave me a ticket for an non DOT approved carborator.

I have been pulled over 4 times in my Superduty for no mudflaps. Twice in Prescott by the same cop. Once on the 101 when they had the super patrols. I refuse to put mudflaps on a vehicle. They can ticket me all they want. I will work a second job flippin burgers to pay the fines!!!!

Wow, I would argue it in court. I mean when I go by those things that say, "Speed Limit 25 Your speed (XXX)" the radar was a little bit (1 or 2MPH) off from my speedo.

im only 16 and have had my liscence for 4 months... i have been in trouble with cops for my driving skills five times... first time i was pullin in to the school parking lot in the middle of winter, and slid it sideways. sittin in first hour i got called to the office and theres the sherrif sittin there... He was like tell me why i brought you down here, and i played dumb... then he threatend to cut my liscence up right there and i was like because i slid sideways.???? and he was like exactly.. i had it under control but the cop didnt think so....no ticket

number 2 loud exhaust. cop was cool no fix it ticket or anything..

number 3 reckless driving, i was doin about 45 and didnt start to slow down untill about 20 yards to the stop sign.... no ticket

and number 4 i geuss cops frown upon driving when you can barely see out any windows of your truck...i was playin in some mud up north and covered my truck.. i had one little spot i could see out on my windshield... no ticket

number 5, just after i put the spacer and shackles on i put on some meats... 31.5 by 10.5 if i remeber right... i needed an alignment bad and i went over the yellow line a few times, pulled to the left like crazy. there was noone on the road except one lady behind me and she called the cops and said she thought i was drunk driving... no ticket, cop was cool

105+ MPH in a 65mph zone on the Maine Turnpike. I was racing a statie and he wrote me down for 90+, asked what the h3ll i was doin? Told him i was just keeping up with traffic, haha bad move. Well i fought the ticket and won, because he never showed up. Well i also have 3 oustanding tickets right now 2 in mass. and one in ny, ill keep you posted im sure ill be losing my licensce by the end of the summer. DOH!

I was going 85 on 65. The trooper gave me a break by writing 84 on 65 on the ticket. That 1 mph was the difference between paying $135 instead of $270!

103 in a 65 on I-70 near Limon, Colorado in a rented Taurus. Some guy with a Dodge Stealth and I were taking turns passing each other. I was in front when the highway patrolman pulled me over. He then jumped out of his car and flagged down the Stealth and gave both of us tickets for reckless driving, and 8 pt. ticket I believe

I had two previous tickets, 53 in a 25 and 47 in a 25 (both in the same place), so the reckless driving put me over the limit and I lost my license for 6 months. It actually worked out O.K. because I was in college at the time and I neve had to be the designated driver:D

on the first day i got this car we went to a place here callled palm beach where all the rich folks live .and i did a really large turning circle so that i turned on to the beach this is at 11pm. any way i get it bogged up to the axels and while im digging it out. the police show up and ask me why im driving on a public beach i do some explaining which seems to satisfy them .but its a good idea to check the air pressure

OK OK, hang on guys, I know noone will believe this but I have been pulled over 27 times, yes I know 27 is a lot. So here it goes!, i was a Police Expolrer, "the kids that do ride a longs wit the cops"so i got a way with a lot!!! i am now 21.

1) a red light i did not see i was 16 and with friends on the way to school in the morning

2) -7) or so: mix of non memorable pull overs, no tickets

8) in my 86' Masda pickup long bed, i went to a donut shop, got some donuts and was on my way to school in the morning, well go Fig. they were getting a deliver in the back and too lazy to put it in reverse, thought i could make it around the truck and miss the ditch, but i miss calculated slide down the ditch at 45 angle, climbed out and looked around a bit, jumped in and after about 20 mins of digging in deeper, a ford came up and snatched me out, and stopped in the middle of a 4 way stop, picked up the rope thanked him turned around and the cop pulls up. He was a dick but no ticket.

9) Masda died and needed a tow, buddy in my truck and me in his dads truck pulling it back to the house, the cop pulled up at a red light, it turned green i hit it and the rope broke!! so to make a long story short got a court date bs my buddy had no licenses. cost my $160 or so

10) got new truck 95 ford ranger!! got it about 4pm on Friday now Sat morning 9 or so pulled up to my buddy's shop and did a 300' burn out in ally, in that lil 2.2 manual, and a power slide past a stop sign around a conner, I let off to stop at a 4 way, cop pulls in the middle of the intercession and then a cloud of eye burning rubber drifts by in the lights came on. Warning!

11) 12) speeding ranger, $140 each about a year apart

13)-20) nothing good red lights, speeding, burn outs you know the fun stuff

23) Towing a cesna 172 on a road just outside of the airport to the front to put it semi. In parts at 2:30 am, no tic.

25) delivering pizza, spotlighting a street for an address, stop at the house cop pulls up and asked what are you doing? asked for id and saw a baseball bat in the back seat and asked if i had anything any other weapons i said ya, a 22 in the glove box, then the people the ordered the pizza came out and see me, the cop talking, and the other cop clearly the gun. Lil funny now that I think of it. PS i do have a CC permit.

27) the last one a a good one, 105 mph on my Suzuki gsx 1100g, and my buddy on a Honda Valicry *sp 1100, on a 35 mph on ramp.
It was dark about 10 PM, we flew past the undercover cop we saw the lights come on and slowed and stopped the cop took a while but he caught up i thought we were both going to loss are licenses but a rubber necker rear ended an another one, the cop said hand over your keys, so i broke off my house key and handed it over, my buddy only had the one key on it, but he had a spare in his wallet, cop went up the road we waited a min or two and slowly at the speed limit went past the cop!

Pulled over for suspected arson (I honestly had nothing to do with it) when I was 16, had the license for 1 week, still paper, not even the real card.

Next night litterally got pulled over for pushing shopping carts with my jeep, it's amazing how far they fly when you launch one into a curb after getting it up to 50 mph while the passenger hangs out the window steering it. We also had a stolen tv and some weed on us that night. (I havn't smoked since h/s though now...)

Pulled over for knocking down 14 out of 15 construction pylons, the cop complimented me and asked why I didn't get the last one. Uhhhh well, officer, that's when I saw you.

Was about to run a red light when I saw the officer pull up at the light... Paniced and slammed on the breaks, lost control and slid sideways through the intersection.

pulled over twice for speeding, neither not more then 20mph over the limit.

Pulled over for repeatedly jumping an intersection in my Explorer.

Pulled over for E-Brake slides in my Mom's Honda.

ALL OF THE ABOVE WERE VERBAL OR WRITTEN WARNINGS. I didn't lie on any of them and told the cop I was screwing around or whatever.

I have gotten two tickets for speeding. One of them probably should've gotten me a DUI. Went to traffic school on both of them and they don't exist now.

was tryin to enter the freeway, signal on and everythin, i sped up to enter, cop was in the lane i was tryin to get into and he sped up to, i slowed, he slowed, i sped up, he sped up, i slammed it in first redlined it threw it in second and finally got in front of the cop and entered the freeway. i start workin my way over to the fast lane and the cop gets right behind me, so i pull over before he puts his lights on. he gave me a ticket for "failure to use turn signal" and no insurance (which i have, but didnt have the card with me). he ran my info and wrote me a ticket, but for some reason didnt arrest me (i had warrant out for my arrest) he told me he should, but doesnt want to deal with it now (i almost sh!t a brick). got the ticket dismissed (after i missed my first court date because the cop wrote it down for the previous year). oh well, havent been pulled over in about a year now, gonna try not to from now on.

I received only one ticket since I got my license in 1981, and it was not for speeding. That was in 1989

My oldest daughter had gotten sick with a high fever, and since I didn't have a car, I asked my friend if I could use hers.

She told me to stop at a gas station since it needed gas. On the way to the gas station, I was sitting at a stop light when the engine cut out. Here I am at a stop light, with my sick daughter in the car and I'm stuck on the highway. About 10 minutes later a policeman pulled up behind me and asked me what the problem was. I told him I had run out of gas. He ran the plates and I found out, which she neglected to tell me that the car was NOT legally registered or insured. I was looking at charges of misuse of plates, driving an unregistered motor vehicle, driving with no insurance, and on top of that I found out that the plates were stolen. At least the policeman brought me home, and I was able to call my mom to take me to the doctor.

My friend had to write a letter to the court saying that her boyfriend had found the plates and put them on her car, or I would have faced jail time for the stolen plate charge. Needless to say they towed the car and she didn't get it back.

Because of that letter, the charges were dropped to driving an unregistered motor vehicle and I paid a $75 dollar fine

Was in my pickup, driving around the other side of the lake past a marina and a bar, lookin for a camp spot for the weekend. Goin thru a kind of a little village area. My cousins son was with me. He's 20, I'm 44. I guess I was doin 48 in a 35. We both had a beer(a couple of pints from the local brewery....7.8% Scotish ale) in our laps with a 1/2 gal jug between us. It is legal to drink and drive in Montana....just can't be drunk. It took over 15 minutes for them to run my license. Thot I was in trouble for something but didn't know what.

The Deputy, who was a very cute girl with long blonde hair, commented on how nice my pickup looks....I had just detailed it. Said everything was in order. She didn't give me a ticket. But she wanted my work phone and home phone. I asked what for....she said, "In case I need further information."

I wasn't wearing my wedding ring....ya think maybe...???? Nahhhhh....we'll see!

This past May I was driving back from a friend's g/f's house with my buddy. He left his car at the mall and rode with me. Well on the way back I drove through a yellow light by the mall. By the time I was in the turning lane, the cop was right behind me. I was heading to the parking lot to pull over (going up a narrow entrance street with no room to safely pullover) when he flipped out and I got on his PA telling to "Pull the F^&* over!" Of course tht was my orginal plan. He ran up to the car with his gun drawn 5 feet from my head and told me to "Get your ass out of your vehicle!" By then I was freaking out. After he slammed me against my Explorer and through me by the neck into his squad car. He chewed me out or about 30 mins. while I tried to explain that it wasn't safe for me to pullover in that high-traffic narrow street. He then ran my plates and told me I had a suspended license. I was like "Whoa... there's no way!" He arrested me on the spot for driving with a suspended license, but released me after I told him my friend could drive me home. I had to get fingerprinted and everything the following month. Well, turns out my suspended license was an error due to the state of Mississippi. They had suspended my license even after my ticket was paid on time. They printed out a big reciept and a note saying it was their fault. After 3 trips to court and $1000 in court/lawyer fee's, all the charges were dropped against me. How ridiculous is that?! The whole story still pisses me off.

The Officer was waiting in some mud/rocks barly big enough to stuff his Explorer on. Well I drove by doing the speed limit and I saw him pull out and hit his lights. I figured I'd just creep at about 5 under with my signal on showing him that I know to pull over but couldn't. (also this was about 2:30 AM)

I get down the canyon about 1 min 30 seconds later (felt like 3 hours with a cop in full lights behind ya) and pulled off into some dirt....he did a felony stop on me...made me do the mexican macarina (no insult towards spanish people intended) against his hood....and started arresting me for police evation!!!...I explained to him that I couldn't pull over and he drilled me saying I should of stoped in the lane of travel!!

we argued and I got lucky because he just gave me a summons to court, no front plate, illegal tint, altered exhaust, altered suspension, and improper use of fog lights.. (I had them on in the canyon...DUH WHERE ELSE ARE YOU GOING TO USE THEM?!) and he took the cuffs off and let me go...

Fought all of it in court with a home video I took the next day of the point where he was sitting to where I pulled over and The cop got in trouble and they let the other things slide! :)

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that the next weekend after all that happened, I was on my way to the bank and a women pulled out in front of me and I got in a wreck. Luckily I didn't get a ticket or any background checks. My girlfirend had to drive me downtown 5 times (which is like 30-45 mins away depending on traffic). What a great girlfriend.... yeah, I think so.

I've had two big runins with the local cops now. Both cops were young (around 30ish). The first cops was really cool but the second was a complete (you fill in the blank, I don't wanna sound like I hate cops). He has a reputation around town for hating kids that have their own cars.

The first: I was coming home from an indoor soccer game at about midnight in my Volvo 240. On the way home theres a 4 lane undivided highway... floored it and got up to about 90 in the 40, not noticing the cop that ended up pacing me at 85. He said he believes in second chances and informed me that he could take away my licence on the spot for reckless endangerment, let alone running a yellow light, having an expired registration sticker and driving after midnight as a minor. Overall, could have been over a $500 ticket, but I got away with a verbal warning.

The second: Got pulled over following a friend to my senior banquet because he knew the directions. While I'm on the phone with my friend telling him to slow down, I saw a cop passing in the opposite lane so I slammed on my brakes and watched him turn around in my rearview. I pull over (friend keeps driving) and the cop proceeds to ticket me for 50 in a 35, having a clear licence plate cover, altered suspension, no front plate, $10 for each illegal bulb (including Silverstars!) and having an obstruction hanging from my rearview (a soccerball). Came to a $460 fine that got dropped down to $120 for speeding.

i have had no tickets, nock on wood, but i thought this was funny. My grandmother (miss lead foot) had a 94 racing 2 door olds with a quad 442 and she got a speeding ticket for 112 in a 45. Yes this is true..and yes it was my grandmother...lol

its nice to know i'm not the only one whos grandma is 70+ going on 20.....my gemo has a dodge grand caravan se sport with thw wing and alloys on it and it has a custom bagged suspension with ground fx because it drops down to like 2" off the ground and has a ramp that comes out the sliding door for my grandpa...may she races that thing around town...hasnt got a ticket yet though because when the cops walk up to her, shes just this sweet 'lil old lady...she only stands like 5' tall!

In my 96 SHO I was clocked at 147 in a 65 at 2:02AM (the ticket is on my wall hehehe 147:cool:)...the UHP hand cuffed me and scared the living shit outa me....it was my first ever ticket at 17....he ended up writing it down to 100 in a 65....it was a freaking 300$ fine and instant driving probation...

I've had about 8 speeding tickets total but only 4 are on my record...

It was in New Kent County, VA, and the judge hated Navy people. And go figure, I was there with my command representative and we were both in our dress whites

I have had no tickets YET but I have been warned for doing donuts on the front lawn at my high school. Also what do 1st gens top out at? I top out every day on the way to school and have only seen one cop so far passed him doing 70 and turned in the next road coming hit a back road and circled around a big hill and came back to the highway 1/4 of a mile down the road from where I originally turned in and when I came by that road again he was sitting there waiting and he flashed me a thumbs up as I went by shatting bricks.

I think speeding should be kept to the interstates and/or race tracks. It pisses me off to no end to see ricers burning through neighborhoods with kids around... you just never know between that and people walking their pets. :frustrate:
Having said that, I've burned up a few highways taking my old (several years back) '65 Fairlane on the highway for a blow dry at ~127, no tickets fortunately.

* Was heading trough NY going upstate at ~108, but slowed to ~92 as I saw a bridge in a 55, maybe 65, dont recall off hand but was written up for 88... paid ticket and it never showed on the license.

* After a long day, hell'ish traffic locally, I jumped into the passing lane and got nailed for 57 in a 45 but no points, was written up for a failure to observe a sign, luckily. They had a speed trap and I was polite, and told him I was late for supper, wife's b-day and I was in that area getting her a gift certificate for her new kayak.

Been pretty lucky and the new CB has saved my butt on a lot of trips (Thanks 18wheelers!), and speed smartly a lot of times, keeping a car or two ahead for minimal radar blockage, never being a lone car shredding the highway, etc.

I don't take the X over 100 too much, mostly 70-90 when I get a lil sprint going somewhere...

Be careful out there... it's safer to turn the radio up a lil to burn some frustration instead of the RPM guage.

Well... I went 2 years without getting pulled over and then got pulled over last Friday for going 58 in a 45. Thankfully I got a verbal warning. I was stupid for going more than 5 over at 12:30 am. I saw my radar detector go from 0 to 3 lights and I was just like "oh sh*t". I didn't see where he was until I came up to a stop light and he pulled up right behind me. Once I made the turn he put his lights on and that was that. I think my dad got me out of the ticket. He works for the city. I'm going to see how many tickets I can get out of.

If you want to speed, go on 77 between SC and NC - I was going a constant 85-90 for 1.5hrs on there today and I wasn't going much faster then traffic if at all

Passed a cop on the German highway at 245 KMH (153 MPH) in my wives BMW 330 CI on my way back from Finland but he didn’t stop me. Germany does have speed limits around the main city limits but not out in the country. So i guess i was lucky it was away from any city as i only barley slowed down when i reached a limited stretch. By the way the best drive ever. Took me 15 hours door to door and that was covering 1,350 Miles. The most amazing part is that some guy in a Jaguar passed me like i was not moving. He must have been doing well over 280kmh.

this took place 2 years ago, but I guess it counts. My friend was driving with another friend in the front and I was in the back of his dodge neon. we were doing about 40 in a 35, nothing unusual. I opened my door because I noticed my seatbelt was stuck and pulled it free.....(more on that later). There was traffic up ahead, so my friend stopped with it and about two minutes later we noticed the lights behind us. apparently the officer had been following us for "2 miles" and we three haden't noticed it. Due to the traffic, and lack of shoulder, the officer got on his bullhorn and told us little dip sh**s to get off the f***ing road. We had to back up about a 1/4 mile to a farm on the left hand side. We're sitting there talking to eacother when officer polite informs us dip sh**s once again via the bullhorn that there will be "NO TALKING" and that we are to "FACE FORWARD WITH OUR HANDS ON OUR LAPS." Finally he comes over, and there we are, 3 kids from a respectable private school wearing collered shirts and ties. My friend driving apologized for not noticing the officer behind us and asking what he did wrong, and promptly got a 480$ fine for god knows what. (now back to the seatbelt.) The officer turned to me and asked me what I was doing with my door open at such an excessive speed on the road for such a long time. I didn't want to lie to him even though he was jerk so I just told him "my seatbelt was stuck." I got a "Bullsh*t" responded to me, and the officer then made some sort of comment about how I was most likely getting rid of weed or something similar. Mr. Nice goes back to his cruiser to write up my friends ticket and call all 3 of our parents. When he comes back, he hands my friend driving a ticket, tell's me "Merry Christmas, I could have screwed you over big time, but I think having your friend mad at you for getting him a ticket is punishment enough." Now....time to rectify the situation. The cop pulled us over Passing us in the other lane......he never clocked us he "assumed" we were going 40. Which raises an interesting point; if he was opposite me how did he know my door was open? I don't have that one figured out, but I guess I have to give him credit for having good eyes. The last thing I did was call my house answering machine and delete the messege. (it's much better to explain it to your parents yourself, then to have a mean cop do it via answering machine.) I'm not sure what my driver friend did about it because he freaked out and gave the phone number for his next door neighbor. (also an answering machine.) Long story short, I moved to Nevada the next week :D I wrote a nice little paper to the judge in Seattle explaining everything and eventually all fines/charges/whatever were dropped.

I guess the moral of the story is......If there is one, Is this: Do not engage in normal or semi borderline activities! they will get you in just as much trouble as illegal ones :D

Only other time I was ever pulled over was in my blue oldsmobile cause the officer thought I was driving a stolen vehicle. He looked in, smiled, thanked me for stopping and drove away.

In my experience, I have met MANY more nice and understanding officers than jerks. And I am glad for the services they provide us and our communities. and hey....I can't even blame the first cop. Who was he to know that we weren't 3 punks just out screwin around.

me and my friend just got pulled over because we were speeding in his civic 2 door...like 104mph

it was a female cop and she thought it was absolutly stupid but kind of funny so we ened up not getting a ticket at all but a warning for speeding and she let us go it was about 1:20am i couldnt belive it when i was riding on the side of the car and we passed a cop car lol

in 36 hrs of having my cavalier i have thusfar seen 95 in it (BTW, i was racing a civic)...could easily pull 110 but didnt have my radar with me.

Ok I had my '96 Ranger all pre runnered out and I knew where this dip was. So we floored it and I hit the dip at about 45. ( Now take into fact that this was a very nasty dip.) I flew across the whole intersection and while in the air I see a cop pulling out of the police stations back gates half a block away. When we ladded the bedliner slaped the up and down and well I was caught:rolleyes: The cop was new and the other cops came out to see. Sence they didn't have me clocked for speed they asked how fast and I told them I was speeding, cause I thought any speeding ticket was better then a reckless driving one;) O' well 76 bucks was worth the fun!:D

72 in a 35. My insurance company still doesn't know about it because my attorney arranged it so that I could take defensive driving for like the second or third time even though you are only supposed to be able to take it once to keep a ticket off your record.

fastest for me was 103 in a 45...didn't get pulled for it. and more recently was about 80, pulling a guy on skis in a 25....it was on a big ass 4 lane road (dirt with a little snow on top) that goes to a new high school close to my house.....the school is still under construction, and also it was about 1:30 am....didn't get a ticket for either and both were in the x

First ticket was an 82 in a 55 on the highway. Speedo only said 75 tho. hmmmm. Second time was 75 in a 45 while passing a tractor on a country road. Cop pulled me over, gave me a ticket and proceded to tell me where he and his friends like to hide so that I wouldn't get caught next time. :D :D

Both tickets were in my '91 V6 Taurus which is pretty amazing considering it had to pull like hell to hit 45.

Since then I've ditched that car and now drive an '01 dakota. Lots more power, lots more trouble.

Last week I was at a light when a camero with a two really hot chicks pulled up next to me. They started reving their engine waiting for the light. So of course I started reving mine as well. As soon as the light turned I poped the clutch and layed some rubber down. Sure got their attention. Unfortunatly it got the attention of the cop two cars back. DOH. When he pulled me over I explained to him that it was my first day driving a stick and I sure as hell didn't want to kill it in front of those chicks. I knew I was bull shitting him, but let me go anyway. Before he left he told me to add a little brake next time to get the tires really smoking. HAHAHA

Took more then a month for me to see this, but yes I did. I was in a sand wash and hit a boulder that was partially buried in the sand. The truck handled fine. Just came to a straight stop.

Never been pulled over but I've had a few close calls. First I was going 60 in a 35 around 1:00am, cop was flying up behind me lights on and everything, i pulled over but he kept going:D Just the other day I was on my way home and noticed a white Durango(the local PD has never had a Durango before and now only has one as far as I know) so close I could't see his grille or headlights. I was already going 10 over the limit so I sped up a little more, got past the next car and he switched lanes, that's when I noticed the blue stripe down the side:eek: He just smiled at me and sped off, I still see him almost everyday. I was with my friend when we got caught doing a little mudding around a local lake. This guy just blocks the entrance with his F-150, no lights or identifying marks of any kind. It wasn't even plated to this county. We were just gonna jump the ditch and take off but he gets out and it's a conservation officer, when I inquired why he was using his personal vehicle I got no response. I tried to get my friend to request a sheriff to come out there too but he didn't. You never know these days, could've been some nut bag on a power trip. There was a guy doing that around that time, but he would run up the the car naked. So the police made it clear that when an unmarked pulls you over you have the right to request a uniformed officer in a marked car. Oh well, he got a $76 ticket for "Vehicle in a Restricted Area". Came back a week later and there was now a DO NOT ENTER sign up, funny thing though, it dissappeared later that night;)

85 in a 60 in Minesota. 1am no one else on the road, bad storm comming in, thought it step it up as i had 3 hours to go. Cop was the nicest I have met yet.

go pulled over for no liscence plate up front in Illinois, and my car is registered there but I got out of it.

Malfunctioning speedo. Had just put new gears in the back and got busted, so i told him my speedo wasn't calibrated and wound up getting a ticket for that. Judge reduced the 300 fine to 150 cuz I got it fixed so quick. No points on liscence :)

excesive acceleration:rolleyes: Going home after a good date and got on it accross the intersection leaving a green light. Cops heard me go by and followed me for about a mile with out anylights on!!!! I pulled in to a gas station to get gas and the whole damn place light up! Turns out 3 cruisers followed me bout about 1 mile seing if I would do anything else. They told me they had heard me go by and just did a regular check on my info and let me go. Got nervous though because one cop asked me to turn my car on and rev it up a lil. Not sure wether it was for pleasure or inspection but god bless his not looking under :)

Been pulled over a few more times, but never ticketed for some strange reason. On the other side of things I have had one cop nod his head and smile as i drove by and another gave me a thumbs up while driving by me on the highway.

from may of 2001 until august I got pulled 21 times and only got two written warnings.; mostly for my neon lights (It looks like a spaceship at night), some for the system, once for driving into the river for about a hundred yards in a city park :D, once for doing a burnout on cruise night on a downtown street, once for my lcd screen in my vision, once for the foglights, and twice for speeding. My friend and I had a bet going on when my first ticket would be and when I would reach 20.

I got a unnessesary noise ticket once, back when i had my chevy beretta. I was just making noise with the tires, they weren't even spinning. Just going around a corner at like 50 km/h. thats the only time i have ever been stopped. But it still cost me 110 bucks!!, What a rip off, the town cops are assholes!

Yes, the governor kicks in at 99-100 but i've never seen them pop into neutral. It just prevents you from accelerating. If you keep on the gas, you can feel it kick on at 99 or 100 and once you get down to 95 or 96 you can accelerate again.

Driving mom's new Jeep home one day and stomp the gas on a straightaway, jump it up to 90 in a couple seconds, come over a rise and look back and there's a cop right behind me....slowed her down and he followed me to the next town and turned off...

Me and one of my buddies leave high school half day to go to college auto body class, we leave school and are heading into town, we were passing each other and just having fun, then we had to turn off to get lunch and this old lady wouldnt let me by, so I sped up and jumped in front of her (I turned all the way around in my seat to check how much space I had and signalled) and turned off. The next day the principal calls us into his office and said the old lady called him up and chewed him out, but he was cool and just told us to take it easy for a couple days because the cops would be looking for a green Explorer and a black car :D He couldnt have done anything to us anyway, because once we leave school property they cant punish us for anything.

Most recent, me and my buddy go for food after work and pick up a couple girls, go eat and drop them off later....it just dumped about 5" of snow and ice so we're out doing doughnuts in the NAPA parking lot (I work at CarQuest so I'm not gonna do them in our parking lot :D), then we go back to get his vehicle and he tells me I cant climb a pile of snow at the end of the parking lot. So I drive over the top of it and get stuck. Lock it in and finally thrashed my way out. Got back on the parking lot and my buddy says, "Oh my God dude..." I looked over and the town marshall is setting right next to me, pulled over and stopped in the street. My buddy was scrambling around to put on his seat belt and I just set there and stared at the car. I got dark tinted windows and so does he, so I dont know what he was doing. I still just set there and then he started to drive away very very slowly, then he turned off at the next street. Still dunno if he was setting there to scare me and make me leave or if he was seeing if I was stuck and needed help....

Yes, the governor kicks in at 99-100 but i've never seen them pop into neutral. It just prevents you from accelerating. If you keep on the gas, you can feel it kick on at 99 or 100 and once you get down to 95 or 96 you can accelerate again. Im my moms 1996 Balzer it cuts the fuel off at 95, and doesn't turn it back on until you reach a little over 55.

Finally got pulled over! 74 in a 55 no ticket! I was nice to the officer because I just came back from the dentist and was chillin' like a villan on darvacets so I wasn't even nervous. I suppose thats why I was speeding so much.The deputy approached with his partner in my blind spot with her hand on her holster! He asked why I was rushing and I told him I just got out of the dentist's office and my mouth was in agony and I just wanted to get home quick to get some tylenol. He lectured me about killing people and said he would turn it over to the city police for them to give me a ticket I was shatting bricks then because I just lost my job and had no fundage but when I got home my mom heard it on our police scanner and he said he let me off with a warning I was so relieved I went into town and did a doughnut in the steet! When I was heading back home I looked back and seen cherries so I evaded him in the logging roads and went through our secret driveway behind our house into our garage. Never again! I play it cool now whenever I see a cop they give me a stare that looks like a monkey about to rape a chicken.

I got pulled over on my ninja, racing a firebird. I was doing 145 in a 45 zone. the cop said he was behind me doing 90 and losing me fast. he found me while i was stopped in a kfc parking lot. I had no motorcycle lic. and had just gotten my insurance 2 days prior. I thought i was going to jail. he took all my info and went to run my record. the other cop that was with him was telling me how screwed i was and that i would never ride a bike again. oh, did I mention that this was the night before I left for Boot Camp!!! I decided to get out my papers and give them to the nice officer. He started telling me how his son was in the military and how proud he was of him. AWWWW. This was all at about 2:30 in the morning so there were not too many cars out on the road. a mustang came haul'n down the road and threw some fire crackers at us. I think that they thought it was gun shots and they dropped to the ground. they told me that they never wanted to see me in their city again and took off after the Stang.
I did the speed limit all the way home that night. I was shaking the whole time.

In a car the highest I have been ticketed was for 15mph over the limit on the interstate (70mph here in MI). I paid all my tickets because they were usually too far from my house to go to, plus in most cases I was really doing 140mph but just happened to pass the cop while slowed down in traffic...lol

The most classic where I thought I was going to be halled off to jail was on my new 2001 Yamaha FZ1 motorcycle. It was cold, very cold out so I was trying to get from Big Rapids, MI to Detroit, MI. I was doing up to 165mph indicated, I must of passed a cop going the other way and he ended up turning around, he said the last time he clocked me I was doing 115mph in a 70mph zone....but I was still pulling away from him very fast. Sad part was it was so cold I was laying on the gas tank to be close to the engine heat as possible so I could not see behind me, he was behind me he claimed for 12 miles...LOL I guess he only cought up to me because I was slowing for traffic but at the time I was thinking that people were being nice as they were moving over for me quickly...lol Ops...Guess they were moving for the cop, not me...hahaha I was cuffed and stuffed but let go with a 85mph in a 70mph ticket, he wrote on the ticket actual speed 115mph.....he told me NOT to fight this one, I just paid it. In MI it was like only $120.

From that I learned not to stop. So in VA on a bike trip, my friend on my second bike (1999 Ninja EX250) and me on the Yamaha FZ1 flew by a cop at 80mph on I81. Cop flicked his lights on (this was at dusk), and I took off up to 150-165mph, used the right shoulder to pass 18-wheelers, and went a few exist down the road never slowing down, got off and remembered that cops usually go right so I went left across the bridge and went left again and hid in bushes on the side of some back road. It was a good spot because I could see the interstate. I heard a car come flying across the bridge, and at the end where I was at did a U-turn real quick and speed back across the bridge. To this day I believe it was a cop, I could not see the car and did not want to as I was hiding at that point. After 15-20 mins I decided I would try and find my friend, at worst case I would buy a map (we were going to Blacksburg, VA) and see if he was at the local hotel there or at the Mexican resturant. I headed over to the otherside of the interstate to a BP station and filled up. My friend came pulling up, told me he got a ticket for 10mph over the limit. Later on he said he pulled off at the first exit as he thought for sure the cop was going after me...so he just stopped at the end of the exit ramp and a few mins later the cop pulled up. Also another cop came and in front of him was talking about another biker that was racing and that they were looking for him.....LOL I believe I was very lucky, not only were they going to get me for probably wreckless but for racing and who knows what else. We got back on the interstate and rode to Blacksburg that was 10 miles up the road...no problem what-so-ever...hmmmm

I was going 55 in a 30 :burnout: The cop asked me what I thought the problem was and i said "I might have been driving a little fast." then he said "yea and what else." I said i didnt know. then he just told me to put my front license plate back on, said "nice rig," went back to his car and drove off.
I havent sped since, because there would be no way i could afford a ticket like that :banghead: man, when i saw his lights flashing in my rear-view mirror i almost crapped my pants.

I was driving home from school doing about 60 and I met this cop on top of a hill and didn't think anything of it until when I went up the next hill I seen his car coming and I slowed down to 55 and slipped on my seat belt . he pulled me over checked my plates and license and gave me a ticket for no seatbelt and said" your lucky you put your seatbelt on." and left I was shocked 50 dollar fine plead guilty.

I've only gotten 1 ticket thankfully. Illegal left-hand turn. A cop was sitting right underneath the sign that said I couldn't go left. Didn't see the cop or the sign... In NJ thats a 3 point offense, do you have any idea what that can do to the insurance of a 17year old male?

ahh...the good ole days. When I was still in high school, I drove a hopped up '68 El Camino and a '73 Kawasaki Z1. There was a cop in my rear view mirror all the time...just waiting for me to do something stupid :p: I had a glove box full of written warnings for about everything from excessive acceleration to impeding traffic :rolleyes:
Last ticket was in 1976 I was clocked at 105 in a 35. That was my 3rd offense in 2 months and the judge warned me at my second appearance (73 in a 30) that she was tired of looking at me in her court, told me my next time she would hit me $10 per MPH over the limit :eek: The cop was cool,wrote me a ticket for 40 in a 35. :D

I was in my 96 cobra racing a twin turbo 3000gt. We raced for a period of 2-3 miles. When we had to slow down for a light a cop came up from behind. I pulled over, the other guy took off. He said he was following us for over a mile, and clocked me at 130 MPH. Rookie cop gave me a 12 Point ticket. I was so pissed I did a burn out when I left. (He didnt do anything about that one). It was later reduced to 6 points. lost my license for a year.

I passed the cop when he was sitting on the side of the road so i instantally slowed down and pulled over and by the time he cought up i was stoped with all my seatbelt on windows down with my licsens registration and insurance ready. He should have hauled me off to jail, but insted i got nailed with 75 in a 45, no seatbelt, expired tabs and no insurance. He added the others on there just to make me pay more without getting arrested, even though they were false fines. I got all of that reduced to a non moving viloation but i still had to pay close to $500 in fines.

The other day I got clocked 70 in a 45 racing a thunderbird. cop let me off with a warning. Then again 65 in a 45 picking up a friend. When will I learn??

Ticketed for Criminal Excessive Speed on a motorcycle.. He clocked me at 69 in a 40 (one of those 40mph road that go nowhere)..

I took the ticket (I got slowed way down before he got the radar gun on me)..

That was my last bad ticket.. (I got lucky, they let me use driving school.. which they weren't supposed to becuase it was a criminal ticket).

The first incident occured when i had just gotten some new rubber for my ride. So naturally I had to break them in. So after racing with my friend for a few hours across town. We decided to call it a night and go get something to eat. So we turned onto a street and BAM, A road block. Ther were at least 5 cruisers blocking the street. They made us pull over and give them our information, She said i was in bigtrouble, and i was getting written up for Speeding, Wreckless driving, Street racing and evading a police officer. I was worried because i had only had my license for about 2 weeks, so i knew i was gonna lose that. After waiting for what seemed like forever, the lady came up to me and told me to leave. I was not gonna stick around and ask questions, but i think she was intimidated by my car.

Next, was when i was going to pick up my girlfriend, I was going 65 in a 45. Because of the business im in(pools), I knew the cop and his family and the last time i saw him i complimented his truck, so i was on his good side. Or maybe he as well was intimidated by my car.

It was ~1am coming home from a girlfriend's house when the speed limit was 65 on the hwy. I got on the freeway looked in my rear view mirror looking for cops. I'm usually really good at recognizing types of cars by the lights and I could have sworn it was a Taurus. I must have been tired, because when I sped up to 80 the 'Taurus' was still there and lit me up. He wrote the ticket for 72 in a 65 because he liked my story when I told him I thought he was a Taurus.

I got some many when I was younger 19-20 that the state sent me a letter saying one more point on my license and it was going to be revoked. Half of them were for "in proper starts" (burnouts). I had to worst luck, everytime I would peel out or do a burnout in front of the girls there would be a cop somewhere around.

The cop went back went back and measured the tread marks (Goodyear M50's with race tread) 75 yds both tires! Cop wrote me for speed exhibition 25 in a 35. Yes you read it right! Went to court and lady judge(oh crap!) Threw it out!!!! Can't be speed exhbition she said you weren't even doing the speed limit! The court room went dead silent and then a huge round of cheering went up! Oh yeah at launch the front tire were 12 inches off the ground.

Hmmm, I got a ticket for 117 in a 65, in my '94 4dr X, still dont know how I got it up to that speed, course it would just peg out and keep going so its hard to tell what you are really doing. This was back in '97 and I was just a punk kid, that was late and trying to make some time. Now I have never even taken my '92 past eighty, way to many cops around here for that.

Actually, POS cars can help get you out of tickets. I got out of quite a few with my old Toyota PUP because it was so garbage they believed the good 'ol messed up speedo ploy.

99 in a 55 caught by a PA state trooper last year. He came up to me and started talking like he was gonna write me 300 tickets. Than he saw me in uniform, thanked me for my service and told me to slow down before I get back into NJ haha. :salute:

No moving violations, yet... only a $30 parking ticket for not observing alternating parking in Buffalo (I don't live in the city, so I didn't know that early in the morning you can park on both sides, then it goes to one side later in the day, and that side alternates)

Oh, and a $5 (pfft..) ticket for parking in a paid lot in downtown Buffalo... didn't see an attendant, so I just parked

I was driving at 10pm at night, in my old 1999 Honda accord. My window tint was dark enough that I didn't see the cop sitting on the side of the road. When he pulled me over in full honesty I told him the truth, and he knocked it down to 55mph. I did get a ticket for the window tint but eh I knew it was illegal and I was speeding. No tickets so far in the Explorer, I don't drive as fast anymore.

No tickets yet, The only time I have actually been pulled over was because of inspection. I saw the cop in a fellow explorer drive past the other direction. I ignored it and kept going. I was sitting in a line of cars wait for the light when suddenly, the cop was rolling up on my right past all of the cars. He stoppes and puts the nose end right behind my explorer and in front of the car behind. The light turned green and I started going. A few seconds later, he flipped his lights on and I pulled over.

He asked me if I knew why he was pulling me over and I had no idea. He told me I had counterfit inspection tickets. The tickets expired 4/09 and I just bought it 5/08 I only had it for about 6 months before I was pulled over. It was just inspected before I bought it. I went to the guy I bought it from and took it to the dealership. Made him pay for the inspection plus the top brake light mount because it was broken and could only hold 1 buld instead of 2. I made him pay $345 for everything. HA! Take that. The officer gave me the benefit of the doubt and let me go. I just had to get it inspected and give the station proof of it.

63 in a 35 school zone . But it was late at night and I fed the cop some BS about how I just got off work and was pissed about some things that were said and he let me go with a $113 ticket for driving too fast for conditions. Ive heard that places like the open flats of wyoming or montana will give you a $5 fine you can pay on the spot if youre speeding, no matter how fast. My teacher was telling me that he was in his friends jaguar going 140 in the middle of nowhere in nevada and when the cop came up to his window after pulling him over, he said something like, "Well goddang, do you know how long it took me to catch up to you?" He paid the 5 bucks and got up to 140 again.

yeah that's cuz in montana for the longest time there was no speed limit durign the day...and nowadays the cops hate enforcing the speed limits....so instead of actually enforcing them if you're going over about 100 they'll give you a fine for environmental harm (burnin so much gas) which is only five bucks

97 in a 50, with a Lincoln, when I was 17. I had forgotten my wallet at home. When your going that fast, with no ID, it's off to the cop shop. I learned three lessons that day...ALWAYS have your ID with you, tickets are expensive, and don't drive like an a55hole!

i got pulled over by the coolest cop ever the other night. heres the story. he pulled me and my friend over and was asking me all kinds of questions, he asks what we were doing. i say were on the way home. he asks where we were, i say we were chillin with some girls from blank town, he asks who. i tell him and he doesnt know them. hes like "did you hook up atleast?" i say no but they just called us and told us to come back and he just hands me my license and all that and says get out of here go get some! i go turn around and as i pass him on the way back i honked and he turned on his cop lights. it was awsome!

ur lucky cali cops almost impounded my explorer one time for speeding and doing reckless driving but i didnt even peel out or anything the cop said i peeled out when i took off and it wasnt my explorer it was another car and they pulled me over and said i peeled out while speeding and they told me to step out of the car and they thought i was high and i wasnt and they made me to stupid stuff liek walk in a straight line and repeat what they said and etc. And they said how do i feel having my explorer impounded. And other times they pull me over for speeding but other cars were going faster then me and they pull me over cause of my exhaust cause of my flowmasters. I bet they hear my flows more the cars with stock exhaust.

And today i almost got a ticket but it was another explorer sport like mine but they had the sirens going off for a good 10 min and i thought they were going after me. In my head i was saying why they going after me i was going the speed light limit. In the corner of my mirror i see a sport like mine following it on the freeway was going at least 80 or 85 mph moving in and out of traffic almost side wiped me and 2 other cars and they finally caught up to the sport and i hope they arrested him. Cause he almost caused 3 accidents thank god they didnt pull me over. I was lucky.

All I've ever gotten while in my explorer is a "violation of a controlled median". Go figure :rolleyes:

Never had a ticket...fortunately. Did get a warning for wheeling on private property, though. I was halfway across the state and they called my dad at 9 at night in Houston while I am in Dallas. Seriously freaked him out...not to mention me when he told me 3 weeks later. Can anybody say ice water in the veins?

108mph in a 45 but that was a couple years back and in a car not an explorer.

I was a real bad boy monday night. Let's just say that a girl has me real confused right now, so I needed to clear my head, ended up jumping on the interstate and opened it up after I got out into the boondocks. It was topped out for at least 10 miles. I felt better but should probably be in jail.

No offense, but I seriously doubt you were going 145 in your explorer, it should run out of gear well before that.

Idk... maybe... wouldn't it depend on what gear ratio he has also? I've brought the needle off the speedo past 120 before a bit.

Now that I think about it though.. the rpm's were damn high.. Felt smooth as butter though.. but either way.. bad idea.

Wooo hooo welcome to the club, my accident i got in last year put me at about $780 every 6 months as well, ahh dont you love insurance.

Reading this thread makes me realize that I have gotten away with a lot of crazy stupid things in my youth that I had long forgotten... Anyway, In my not-so-youth about 2003, I was riding my motorcycle (a Honda Valkyrie) And decided to open her up on a long stretch of fast lane, I am doing about 127 mph indicated ( and in fact, I often did triple digits on her almost every day..)when a highway patrol Crown Vic pulls in behind me with the red lights flashing... I throttled down imediately and pulled over, parked the bike on the shoulder, took off my gloves and helmet, and waited for the CHP officer to get out of his car. A moment later, a tow truck drives up, stops and backs up to my bike. Oh, snap! I'm thinkin'. Well, the cop gets out, checks my licence registration insurance papers and asks if I knew how fast I was going, "Um... probably 95? I say trying to look as innocent as possible. He starts lecturing me on the foolishness of the kind of speed I was going (and he was absolutely right... ) In the meantime, Mr. Greasy Towtruck driver is waiting for the word to hook up my beautiful bike and take it to impound, and I realize I am in deep doo doo... while I'm talking to the CHP it comes up that I work for Harley Davidson, and I do design work on technical riding gear, leathers, etc. And, it turns out Mr. CHP had just bought a brand new Harley Davidson motorcycle for his personal use. We start talking motorcycles, and after a minute he waves the Tow guy away, Tow guy looks disgusted but gets in his truck and drives off. CHP gives me a ticket for 80 in a 65, which is still a $300 dollar fine, but far cheaper than the impounded bike, jail, suspended licence and reckless driving fine and points on my licence. I went to traffic school which in California erases the violation from your driving record. I slowed it down after that.

I once got pulled for doing 124 in a 55.:scratch::dunno: No idea what I was thinking!!!
Ahh, to be young, dumb, and clueless again. BTW, I was driving on a deserted section of the highway, so I wasn't endangering anyone else's lives!!

I was stationed in Germany driving home in my Opel 1700 taking it easy because I had way too much to drink when someone starts tailgaiting me. I tapped the brakes to get them to back off and they got even closer. So I tapped again and they start flashing the high beams at me. Ah, must be some of my buddys, but they are really annoying me so I really hit the brakes hard. Behind me I hear SREEEECH, the a55holes about rear end me! Finally, I get to my apartment and pull in the drive, I look back to see who it is.... A GERMAN POLICE PADDY WAGON!!! They gave me 'the look' as they went by - "You stupid GI". No BS - I took it easy after that.

got a 65 in a 55 i was going 110 the cop was nice and lowered it

I was heading to work..planning on shooting a little video to test the 06 explorer v6 out...I get up to about 92 then i hear sirens. Luckily i dont think they were after me

170mph in a 70, on my sportbike, and amazily the pissed off cop only wrote me a ticket for $725 bucks, a lot of money, but way better than going to jail!

120 in a 45. lost my license for a yr +500$ ticket. and to add insult to injury i got 25$ ticket for no seat belt. Car was impounded on the spot, had to pay 80$ tow fee 70$ overnight storage fee. I was about 85 miles from home.. :( that was the last time i have ever speed. As matter fact sold the car so I would not get nailed again, all I buy is slow family type cars.... thinking back on it I'm sure I could have dusted the cop but my luck I would have blown a tire and crashed..

I can't recall ALL the time I have been pulled over, or the tickets I have gotten over the years...but here are the few I DO remember...

First Ticket:

I had just turned 18 and got my drivers license. But I had been driving for a couple years with no license/insurance... Never got in trouble when I was without a license..but literally a couple weeks after I get legal, I get pulled over. 41 in a 35, less than a block from my moms house, driving her Dodge RamVan...what a POS...I tried explaining to the cop that I HAD to speed up at the BOTTOM of the hill (where he was sitting) in order to reach the TOP of the hill doing anything more than 20mph...I got the ticket, put it in 1st gear, and creeped up the hill reving the motor to 3500, still only going 12mph (read: if I shifted into 2nd, the motor would bog down, and I would go slower)....my mom got rid of that van a couple months later...

A couple years later...

I had JUST finished working on one of my Cutlass'. It was a 1979 Cutlass Supreme, Olds350/TH-350, 2500 stall, 3.42 gears, blah, blah, blah....Well I got the motor in on Friday, and drove it around...I was on the highway heading South, and This kid a CRX starts reving the motor next to me at the stop light. He punches it off idle....while I launch it at about 2500...a little tire squeal (read: A LOT of it) and I was passing him like he's parked on the side of the road...every other light we hit is green, and when I get in the turn lane to head home, he points behind him...The cop that was behind him, is now BEHIND ME at the stop light. I go through the intersection, and he lights me up. He walks up to the window, and says something like Hey there Speed Racer....then he compliments me on how the cars sounded when I launched the car off the line at the stop light 3 miles back...I get a ticket for No SeatBelt (I hadn't installed them yet) and no proof of insurance (later dropped in court)

Fast forward a couple weeks, I am driving the car on my way to work and on the EXACT SAME STRETCH of hiway, within 500 feet of where I raced the CRX, but now I am going the opposite direction....the cop passes me going south...he makes a quick U-turn and comes after me AGAIN!...He walks up to the car, and says 'Hello again Speedy'. I immediately say "I know I wasn't speeding, what's going on?" He just says, "I know you weren't speeding this time"...then he says let me see your license, registration and PROOF OF INSURANCE, putting extra emphasis on the the "insurance" part. I politely give him everything he asked for...he goes to his car, and comes back with a ticket...before he hands it to me, he pulls on the shoulder belt just hanging in the door way, and says "I see you installed them, it's about time you started to use it"..then I got ANOTHER ticket for no SeatBelt...

Ever since that day, I have been REALLY good about wearing my seatbelt.

Got a 62 in a 45 :( Gotta work on my pedal. At least the officer was doing his job.

128 in 30.

78 in a 45 construction zone. Was just merging from the on ramp to the freeway and gave it too much throttle, never noticed it. Would have been a $800 ticket but luckily he was on a bike too and just got me for speed not the constuction. My best uncaught run was 150 in a 50, old desert road.

got car impounded and spent the night in jail for going 147 MPH in a 55 and got a 1200 dollar reckless driving ticket and my license revoked. . . .

when i saw the cop as i passed him doing 130 i said f#$k it and i mashed it and kept going. but i guess he radioed another officer about a mile ahead and he stopped me.

and all in my friends 2003 cobra. he was not happy when i called him from jail telling him his car was impounded, lol.

that's my only speeding ticket though. plus a 25 dollar trespassing ticket for wheeling
