First off many thanks to Kodiak, Jeff Seal, and Dale Theissen for the parts I purchased from them, everything was in great condition. I have installed a six inch skyjacker class I lift up front, this also included drop swaybar brackets, and quick connects, new brake lines, and a skyjacker steering staybalizer. For the rear I went with 4 inch superlift springs, and warrior shackles, running 4 inch explorer pro comp shocks mounted to sway bar mount, this temp till I get the 6 inch shocks. Total lift was 6 inches upfront, and 6 1/2 in the rear, no driveshaft issues at all:p The camera was dead this weekend so next week I will get pics up. Next project, 3 inch body lift to fit those 35's:D Also thanks to Hank, all my bushing are...
Well it is about time to do the deed to my truck. I have owned it for around a year, and now this weekend the major mods will begin. I am not really sure how to list the progress of my explorer's transformation. I will update/edit this post as the project goes along. Here is a pic from when I first bought her. This is a pic of the push bar Sidewalk hooked me up with. It also has a set of Pilot projection fogs and is waiting for a set of KC Dayliters. Here is a pic of the bar with lights on. It will look much better and work better with the KC's on there. This is the last major thing to do with the pushbar. I finaly got around to adding my tow hooks. This is a pic of the passenger side hook. Both are fastened with...
I just installed a grille guard and a Ramsey Platinum 9000 today. The kit was a pain, mainly because it needed a lot of "persuasion" to fit right. I'm really happy with the way it came out though and wanted to show you guys. Thanks. T-Bone Dead Link Removed Dead Link Removed [Edited by T-Bone on 08-17-2000 at 09:06 PM]
Why are there no companies that make lifts for late model exlorer's that make them for all other suv's. How can they not make a lift for a the best selling suv. I have e-mailed almost every company and wholesaler that I could and they either dont e-mail me back or tell me there isn't one avalible. Every day I think "why didnt I get a jeep".
Here we go! First of all, sorry for my poor english. Here is the stock pics. It was stock in summer 2007, except welded rear diff and TT. In august during a ride, I Hydrolocked the block, and it was the end for the 4.0L SOHC. I bought a 1990 F150 with 302 engine and manual trans. It was supposed to be a little project, and keep IFS suspension... But it doesn't stop here.... The truck isn't ready to ride, it will be ready before winter. Leave comments!
Pavement pics suck... Lets see her in action! I had to wait till I had some real fun after I finished the lift to post pics... No one wants to see pics of pavement queens... so here's Adry in action on September 6th. Since its a Before & After forum, i'll post this boring pic first.... Now the ones we all wanna see.... the SMACK DOWN of the night! He did a complete flip and landed on his back... haha... And a Jeeper... its allowed because she's cute
