Hey, 2 quick questions. I am looking to replace my cat with a magnaflow hi flo cat. they are asking if i have a 2 way, 3 way or 3 way +. how can i tell. any reviews or recommendations on this? also looking into a random teck y pipe but not having any luck finding one. the site says it is not compatible with my vehicle. is that correct? any idea how i can find one or for which vehile i need to source? again, any feedback on this product? 01 XLT 4.0 SOHC w K&N FPIK
my friend sent me a link to an acura rsx the other day well to several different ones he was saying how cool they are or something along those lines, and several had different styles of "ground voltage stabilizers" or whatever listed in their aftermarket modzZ. like this one: http://www.dsmparts.com/customer/product.php?productid=700 almost all of them had one. Is this a secret 4 banger weapon? does it do some japanese vodoo to youre engine? on a serious note, does it do anything? Im sure having a second battery or high output alternator for a stereo would overwrite any effect this would have. So would adding a second battery add horsepower? if it stabilizes voltage as this device does it would right??? I dont believe it.

So, very of few know much about me and my truck but I figure I would share some details in hopes of tracking down a solution to an issue that I have been seeing on and off. Recently I replaced my TPS sensor and things cleared up quite a bit. The issue though, is whenever I have the a/c on, on a hot day I see the trans fluid get up to almost 180 (normal for a 4r55e). I get what I could say is either a shift flare or sloppy lock up, rev up, and lockup of the converter between 45 and 50mph (its the converter, because my livewire turner is telling me I am in 4th). Now, if I turn the a/c off it goes away maybe I feel the lockup more. If I turn off OD I am in 3rd (per livewire) and I get this harsh 4th shift (when a/c is back on), which is...

I just joined the site, and this my first official post. Whoopie. My wife is buying herself a new Explorer, in a month or 2, so she's giving me her 98 Explorer XLT, 5.0, AWD. We bought it brand new in Sept of 98 and have kept it up religiously. It still looks brand new. This has been, without a doubt, the best vehicle I have ever owned. And since I'm 58 yrs old, I've owned too darned many to think about. But, to the subject at hand. We LOVE mud dragging. I have an 80 Blazer with a small block chevy, 4.56 gears, with Super Swampers on it. It's only a 307 that has a mild RV cam, but I usually finish in the top 6 or 7 trucks. It's all about the gears. It's getting a new 355 Chevy motor, this spring, that's built quite a bit more, so...
Congrats to Brad the new owner of my former TTSaleen project! Brad made it to Dragging Rights today and made his first ever dragstrip pass in the car. 1st pass - Left easy, lifted before 1,000 feet. On the brakes ran a 10.70 @ 107. 2nd pass - Left easy, tires started hazing top of 2nd and 3rd gears. Banged out a 9.93 @ 148 mph on the exact same tuneup I ran at Darlington, SC 2 years ago! Pump gas only (93 octane) and 17 pounds max boost. Big SHOUT-OUT to Fastlane Motorsports for building such a bad ass combination that literally ANYONE can hop in and drive but still have the power to run like this one does! Awesome job guys!
