Help, plwase… I have a bad lamp socket ( map light ) in the overhead console of my 99 XLT ( with sun rood ). I am trying to replace the lamp assembly. Several questions: (1) Has anyone done this before? (2) Anyone have a clue as to the part number? I have tried Torrie at Ford Parts Network with no luck so far’ he has sent me the wrong part twice. HELP
Got my VVME HID kit delivered today. Well I thought I would go ahead and test them out. So I plugged them in as the instructions stated. Not real difficult just matched up the connectors and went to turn them on and got nothing. Tried both bulb sets with both ballasts and both headlight side. Nothing, not even a flicker. I have read nothing but good things other than lengthy shipping at times from vvme. Any suggestions??? http://www.vvme.com/
I am looking for something like on this ebay auction http://cgi.ebay.ca/LED-Pickup-Trailer-Turn-Brake-Running-Light-Bar_W0QQitemZ120096181987QQcategoryZ33713QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem However 130 bux is too expensive, there has to be a place to get these a little cheaper.
Planing to ditch the roof lights on roof rack. They fit the theme of the truck, but they're old outdated tech, (1 bulb is out) and I have to pull them on and off all the time to go in and out of the garage. I was looking at just mounting similar lights but in LED. This doesn't solve my height issue however. Plan 2.0 was a LED 40" Bar and move it over the windshield similar to jeeps and the full size crowd as done. We're no moving to plan 3.0 This will be a set of three 12-14' LED light bars over the windshield. The center will stationary, and the outer lights will sit back a bit from the middle, and be able to adjust to the curve of the windshield, for more coverage of the horizon. The lights will be mounted to...
How do you turn off 2006 Explorer DRL's? Just like the title states. I am trying to find a way to turn off the Daytime Running Lights on a 2006 Explorer 4x4 RSC. As soon as you put this thing in drive, the headlights come on. I do not want to have to take to dealer as they told me it is a minimum of $135 to do it if it is easy or $250+ if they have to take apart the dash. Can anyone help?
'98 Mounty with 6" KC's behind grille, 5" fogs rewired to stay on with high beams Well I finally got my front end finalized. After I added the body lift I had to loose my stock fog lamps :( , so I mounted my 5" pro comp fog lights in the factory location. The Pro Comp's have the same wattage as the factory fogs, so I am using the stock wiring to power the lights. No problems as of yet (other than me having the power/ground reversed on the lights, lol). I need to add another bracket that goes vertically and ties the lights to the body (they're just mounted to the bumper right now, so they flutter on washboard roads). The first pic is how I mounted the 5" fogs. My 6" KC 100W Slimlites also needed a place to go. I didn't want to mount...
I just purchased a set of HID lights off of ebay, they are a hi/low beam design, with the low beam being an HID bulb and the high beam being a halogen. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&sspagename=STRK%3AMEBTOX%3AIT&viewitem=&item=320185217528&_trksid=p3984.cTODAY.m238.lVI That is a link to the set that I purchased. While I know these are probably not the best quality lights, I figured for the price, it wouldn't hurt to try. I wanted the 4300K temperature because I do not need the blue look, I am going for pure light output. These will be going in stock housings and once installed they will be aimed. I decided that all the night driving I've been doing, installing a set of HIDs would be beneficial and would...
