Before: After: I had just bought the truck for 4k with just over 100k miles on it, was just going to be a daily driver but decided to make it a capable off road vehicle. Soon you will see the transformation of this truck into the ZAPV or Zombie Assault Preparedness Vehicle. This is how I got the truck. I decided to put bed liner on all of the plastic parts, and it looked good. At this point I thought I was done with the body (foolish me) I was going to settle for a good looking with minor capabilities truck. I soon grew tiered of all the plastic wrapped around the truck, and the fact that the bed liner wasn’t sticking to it, so I pulled all of the plastic off and started over. I filled all of the holes left by the...

Plagorizer, I know...:D I recently acquired this ugly 1996 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer 4X4 with 197k, for $700. It has some things that it needs, but then again, what would you expect from a $700 Explorer? -Needs a Transmission, or reverse ring (reverse is out)-FIXED -Roof liner is toast-FIXED -Rear drivers side quarter panel is crumpled from guard rail hit -Both bumpers are junk-FIXED -roof has 2 dents-FIXED -roof rack is all bent-FIXED -Front drivers side fender is pushed out (common problem from the "Wal-Mart Kid" jacking vehicle up in wrong place).-FIXED -Grille is crap-FIXED I could keep going for another 30 things. If you saw my thread, I had a chronicles going on putting a 5R55E transmission into the place of my old 4R55E...

I sold my 2002 Red Saleen a couple of months ago on a Friday. By Saturday, I was on the hunt for a daily driver. Craigslist helped me find a 2002 Explorer XLT that was just down the street from Fastlane. I bought the vehicle and had to do a little work to it, but overall it was a great project. I say it "was" because I sold it last Friday. Anyway, here's some of the progress pics and before/after photos. I liked it so much, that I immediately purchased another Explorer (2004 Eddie Bauer) last Friday night in Apex. Mods pics/project coming soon. Day that I purchased it - 1 week later - Tinted front windows (20%) and windshield (50%) - Thanks Tinted Atmospheres! New Black headlights and corners with 8000K HID...
This first picture was in 2007. I had cranked the torsion bars, and installed a cheap shackle kit from autozone, and put in a weak four door leaf pack from the junkyard. 31 10.50 BFG all terrains The second Picture is 2008. I believe I put in a better four door leaf pack from the junkyard, and installed a 2 inch body lift. 33 12.50 BFG all terrains on 15x8 wheels. The third picture is after my superlift install. I was tired of the torsion crank because of the ride quality and weird angles on my front suspension. I also didn't like the aftermarket shackles sticking out like a sore thumb so i replaced with stock shackles. In between 2008 and today I removed the 2 inch body lift and installed the 3 inch body lift do to rubbing. I...
