Figured I'd bring my build log on my 01 explorer over here from the audio forums. Right now it's sort of in one piece, but I swap things out quite often in it. Currently working on the suspension and should have some updates eventually. Hopefully someone finds some of the stuff I've done to it cool/over the top. Note: Not setup to look as pretty or professional as the Malibu, as I realized after building that what a PITA it is to swap things in and out once everything is pretty. I picked up this explorer for $1000 in july 2011 and i turned 16 in august of 2011,and got my license before september. so i dropped a couple dollars into it to make it look good before i started driving :D I painted the rims black put 265/75/15 goodyear wranglers on it billet grille smoked tail lights , smoked turn signals removed running boards Everyone Tell me what you think and what should be done next !!! other then lift it !

well here it is before and here it is about a year later and I threw a shot of the rebuilt tranny in If I was thinkin I would have done a thread on tranny take out and install. Well any way let me know what yall think of it.

Here is my before and somewhat after pics. Still waiting on my 3" bl, intake, flowmaster 40, remove pinstripe & repaint. And I am sure a billion more mods due to too many ideas from this site!!! Because I am a girl, people will think I am weird, but here we go..So i decided it was time for my hood to be painted because its badly peeling and cracking paint on the hood. ANd this was just a little experiment with john deer farm green spray paint that you paint your farm equipment with. It came out better than I had expected in the long run. I did a really great job with it. but the next time i spray it, I have to go down to the metal. Before I painted it, I washed the hood, then sanded it down. then took a blower and blew all the stuff off the hood and windshield. I did get some over spray paint on the window, but its nothing gas wont take off. so you can see in the pictures what it looked like before. The after pics are dark, so...

My dad and I have been working on this for about three years, and its finally pretty much finished except for some detail work and a full interior.
