The second batch of 25 was made making the total 50, number 13 is in the hands of my friend who will be racing it in the Viper Cup Series. He'll be racing August 14th and 15th at Hallett Motor Park in Jennings, OK. The races will be Versus at 3:30pm (EST time? i think i might be wrong) on Sept 5th and Sept 12th.

Towed my friends 93 del sol from Essex VT to Pelham NH. He is having a different motor dropped in it. Going 55 MPH I got 15 MPG on the interstate. With winter tires. Not too bad for towing a car with an engine in the engine bay and in his back seat. So it was around 3,000 lbs. Plus the 3 of us in the truck. Was my first long distance towing trip.

 

Well, i got a "new" truck last week. 04 Ram 2500 4x4, hemi/whatever the 5spd. auto is, all stock, 150k miles.

It was a ranch truck and is beat all to hell. There isnt a body panel on it that doesnt have a ding or scratch. Mechanically it's perfect other than needing tie rod ends and shocks. Tranny rebuilt 20k miles ago by a good local shop, engine has never had any work other than a couple of sensors.

IIRC blue book was around $14k, meaning in this market it would be a $11-12k truck...

 

MLB doesn't like the name I have for her new ride. The name is fitting however. Gotta be nice to it or it'll have a melt down. In more ways than one. I just have to keep it below 6000 rpm's--



So far we like it quite a bit. It drives nice, and has plenty of power for passing in just about any situation. The switch from V8 to 4cyl mode is actually very smooth and not noticeable at all.
So far we are averaging around 24MPG although on the highway once cruising at 65 MPH it will...

 

Just thought I'd introduce my show car/ daily driver in the summer.

This is my 2001 Chrysler Sebring. Put blood sweat and tears into it and a ton of cash that shoulda been going towards college(oops).

My Grandfather, Reg Schlemmer, purchased this cream puff RAM D150 truck new in 1984. He drove it as a farm only vehicle, maintaining it in his farm ways ( black grease in hinges-or anything else that squeaked) and drove it like a grandpa.

In 2000 he decided he couldn't drive anymore, and sold it to me. Then he went out and bought a brand new blue Dodge Ram truck only to sell it 6 days later.

I'm starting this for my brother since he never seems to get around to doing it. I feel like he needs a registry over here because he is over here more than on the dakota forums.

It's a 1997 Dodge Dakota 4x4 with a 318. It has had some work done to it including an M1 intake manifold, holley throttle body, headers, and a tune.

Truck is a 2004 ram 2500 4x4, hemi auto and 4:10 gears with a bajillion miles on it. Mechanically its in like new condition. Physically its beat to hell... there isnt a single inch on it that isnt dented or scratched. It was an old farmer's truck and he ran over every thing he owned with it. :

Hello, all!

My "other" car is a '98 Breeze, and as long as we've owned it, the FM reception range has not been good. As long as the car is close to a metropolitan area (close to the radio broadcast origin), it's clear, but man, 15 miles out of town, and it's nothing but static.

Anybody know how I could test the antenna? Or might the problem lie in the receiver?

 

A sad day is looming ahead. I've had my Explorer for almost 5 years now and I'm definitely hearing the death rattle in my engine and my family is growing. We've got a 4 year old and one on the way. With the dog and future plans we're really starting to outgrow the Explorer. She's got my blood, sweat and tears running through her and I hate to see her go, but it's about time.

Started up the Dodge Ram yesterday and the parking brake light and ABS light stayed on. Popped open the hood and immediately saw that rodents had been VERY busy overnight. They pulled down a bunch of insulation, and chewed through several wires

I initially didn't see where the ABS wiring had been cut, and I wasn't 100% sure that it even had been cut, I thought that it may have just been a coincidence so I took the truck in to a local shop and had them put their ABS scan tool on the...

 

I basically have little to no heat coming out of my vents. 05 ram 1500. Is there anything I can check before bringing it into the shop?

 

Well everyone. Come Thursday the Explorer is going bye bye. I have gotten a 2005 Dodge Ram Quad Cab Hemi. Its the top models with heated Leather seats. The Whole works. I will have pictures up soon. I am still gonna remain active in the club. Since the club rules state you dont have to own an explorer to be in the club. I have discussed some things with John and I am going to remain the President. I am not going anywhere.
