The new turd mobile. 2000 Mountaineer v8 awd. The bad: Was living it's prior life on a dusty road. Must tear out interior and deep clean. Driver window off track "or something" and will not roll down. It tries but the rear part wants to stay up. 3 out of 4 door handles have issues. I have 4 new outer handles on order. Cracked passenger side tail light housing. ( Ebay for some cool tail lights) Compass-Thermometer thingy lit up and went out--idunno bout that yet Door locks seem sticky, probably has to do with the handles. It has a funky purple color trim with red metallic ( you'll have that every now and then) :( The good Gas tank was full 109k miles I am the 2nd owner!! Is from the local area, which means no salt! The...
First and foremost my ranger is my favorite truck...I will not let any of you fools try to talk me into changing my new project into some rock beast, lmao...this rig is just to go camping and fishing in and thats it...it took all the money i had to buy and the seller was great and is a new member here....thanks rick, the seller that is... I have never as much sat in an explorer and today was the first time i opened a door on one... It needs alot of tlc and a new 4.0 motor as the current one is seized...It needs a bit of paint work as the clear coat is shot and the front fenders are a different color.... Notes 1) Kbabiak, you need to make some pre-made shipping tags with my name on them as I will be needed a bunch of little...
Here's my registry. It's not going to really serve as much of a build log or anything, just to help keep track of the (minor) things I do to it along the way. (Edit: yeah, that all turned out to not be true...... Keep reading to see what I mean) This is my 1997 XLT. I bought it on 10/13/2010 with 117,500 miles for $2000. It has the SOHC V6, 3.55 rear end and the "Controltrac 4 wheel drive". This is basically as it was when I brought it home: Interior shots:PG[/IMG] (lost photos) Features: side-step boards 6,000 lb receiver Ford mudflaps (removed) hood wind/bug deflector This Explorer wasn't abused- just a little neglected. The interior is in good shape. The paint isn't in horrible shape- some dings and scratches here and...
Hey I'm a long time reader and Just bought my first X Wednesday I love it. She's a 1994 Limited.Named her Snowball (Sry If someone already had this name) I paid $1500 for her. She got a new Thermostat 2hrs after I bought her cause it locked up on me and over heated in the middle of the road. Her primary duty is going to be as a daily driver/Photography vehicle. I am an avid amateur photographer. The day after I got her I took her out on her first photo Journey. Here's some pics. She is replacing the 1989 Ranger my parents let me drive till I found my own and just like the Ranger I couldn't keep her on the pavement for long. I also found a mound of gravel and flexed the suspension a bit. Her primary purpose will be to...

Real Name: Trevor Year : 1991 Model: Explorer State: North Carolina City: Mount Holly Just picked up this Exploder last week. Its not in the best of shape but overall its decent. The motor runs great and the body has very few dents and dings. When I got it the trans was out like every other a4ld. I am a 5 speed guy myself and was planning to convert to 5 speed anyway. First thing and did is check the fluid in the trans. Nice and red, full, and doesnt smell burnt. Pulled one of the lines at the radiator and fired it up and no fliud. Nothing at all. Pulled the pressure plug in the side of the trans and fired it up to make sure the lines were not stopped up somewhere and still nothing so I knew something wasnt right with the pump...

My name is Patrick and now that I've finally done some work I'll start a registry to keep track of where it's been and where it's going. I'll try to organize it chronologically as best I can. I got the truck in June of 2008 with 70,000 miles on it. Newest Setup: SAS/SOA, 3" BL, Warrior Shackles for ~12" total lift. Some quick stats: 2001 Explorer Sport Trac 4X4 4.88 Gears LP Dana 44HD Front Axle with leaf springs SOA Stock 8.8 in the rear 35x12.50 BFG KM2s 17x9 Cragar Soft8 wheels 6x5.5 bolt pattern all 4 corners Advantage Hard Hat bed cover Here she is the day we brought her home And of course it had to be approved by our skilled research team The first thing I did to it was add a little ford emblem over the door badging...
Hello all... To celebrate the final payment of my beast, I thought I should finally make a registry for it, with pictures and all!!! When I was in college, I really wanted a 2door SUV that was relatively new and looked cool as well... Obviously that led me to the Explorer, as Jeeps are cool and all, but not all that practical as my daily driver. Sooo, the search was on! I wanted a black one, the newest year I could get for the Sport, with the fewest miles, with leather and a sunroof! :D Eventually my searches pulled up my exact specs, but in South Dakota. I lived in Iowa at the time, so no big deal. I bothered the people at the dealership with my excessive questions to make sure it was worth the drive there to look at it. And...
well, it'll be a year this week that ive had my explorer and ive completed most of the mods ive planned so i thought it would be a good time to finally do my registry. this one is going to be extensive! my name is ken, if anyone ever wants to reach me my email is underground707@gmail.com or you can just message me here on the forum, im always on here wasting time. here's some info on my rig: 2003 Ford Explorer Sport Trac XLT 2WD bought it for 12k and it was in pristine condition with only 60k miles on it. my current specs and mods can be found on my vehicle specs tab here's my build: this is how she looked when we brought her home. pretty much stock with a camper shell, class III hitch and brake controller this...
My boss's nephew has had this poor, beat-up little '95 Sport for the longest time, just beating the crap out of it and trying to wheel with J**p friends who were obviously better set up for 4wheeling... two weeks ago it came in with a blown hub, bad upper and lower balljoints, bad tie rods, and some other issues. They saw $2600 worth of damage, I saw a candidate for an axle swap :D Since the little guy is only worth MAYBE $3,000 in current shape, the kid decided to junk it. I couldn't pass it up :D In the next two weeks I'll be nabbing Snoborder's EB Dana44 and waggy leafs and making myself a mean little monster ;) I don't much like the 'green bean' look though, so as soon as I've got enough saved for a nifty Maaco paintjob, it's...
