I have a 92XLT explorer and love to 4x4 with it. I bring my 2 kids and wife with me all the time. The kids love it. Wife likes it to. I want to find someone in colorado springs that wants to do some trail rides on the weekends. e-mail if you want too. ;) Looking for more challenges from easy to moderate or if I get guts I'll try any thing.
Yeah, I finally made my explorer trail worthy. 31x10.5 BFG ATKO's, extended shackle/TT, and add a leaf made that possible. But of course, a car has to look pretty, right? Billet grille, clear corners, safari bar w/ 2 hella 500 fogs, yakima roof rack with 4 hella 500 drivings, and a custom roof mount spare tire holder do the trick. Check me out on my first trail run! http://community.webshots.com/photo/50004260/50004764ifqzrl
Hey everyone, just was browsing the whole site, since I can't sleep, anyway, here is the info on my Explorer for now. First of all My name is Greg I'm 19 and I live in Gilbert, Arizona. I seem to spend a lot of my spare time just hanging out at my parents house though, in Mesa. I graduated from Highland High in Gilbert, in 2001. I've had my explorer for about 9 months now, my parents bought it from an old couple, after I was in a freeway accident down by Bank One Ballpark in my Isuzu Trooper. Since it was acquired from an old couple it was in near pristine condition, other than the passenger side door is pushed in 1/2" or so, but no big deal, it runs perfect. White 1995 XL 4x4 Completely stock on the outside in fact it...
Dead Link Removed This is my X. She has a few miles on her, but she should be an excellent vehicle. I plan on holding on to her for awhile and lifting her up in the near future for better off-road ability. I live in Virginia Beach, VA and attend college at James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA. I just joined the East Coast Xplorers and look forward to wheeling with them. Here is a link to my shabby website: Dead Link Removed
Hey Guys, I am starting a thread for a fellow I met in the chat room tonight, who will be becoming a member soon. He signed on as Eric91, and I am hoping that will be his member name. He just finished a live axle swap and wanted to post some pics of it. So here are some. These will prolly take me a while to attach (I need to resize some). I won't post all of them Eric (I have limited storage). Hope this works.............

Upper Peninsula, MI Hey, well my truck is a 92 XLT. Green 4 door. 4x4, elecronic BW tcase(anyone know if you can put a NV tcase in these things). Tan Leather, pw,pl,power mirrors, air, cruise, tilt, power driver and passenger seats. Almost loaded, just no CD player. She's pretty much stock. I put manual hubs on it, work great just don't know if I can get them replaced if they break(see manual hub kit thread). I've had the truck for almost two years, love it. Am going to hate getting rid of it. Most of the wheeling it does is on Silver Lake sand dunes in Michigan, and an occational "easy" run up here in the UP. The last one almost took two of my tires, my transfer case skid plate, and rear dif cover, oh yeah and gas tank...
I've been surfing this website for a few months now and have finally decided to join. My explorations will begin soon (hopefully) when my 5.5inch Superlift gets here. Here in the UK, the 4X4 of choice here is the Land Rover. I had initially planned on buying a Defender 110, but decided the cash I was to put up for it would be better suited to decking out my EX. We'll see how this plays out. :D

Hi everybody: I just registered and let me tell you something about my Explorer. I'm the proud (and only the second) owner af a 1992 XLT 4x4 Ford Explorer, that looks and runs fine (photos coming soon). I live in Arica, Chile, South America, a city of about 135.000 inhabitants in the coast, near the border of Peru. Is a very desertic zone (if fact the Desert of Atacama, in wich the city is settled, is the dryiest in the world) Near Arica you can find enormous extensions of sand, rocks and other rough terrains to make some Explorations, and about 150 miles to the East of the city you can reach terrains over 13,500 feets high (the so called Altiplano). Well, I try to mantain my XLT very carefully, but with 153,000 miles...
