Stock 1/4 mile and 0-60 times for a TON of cars!!! ^_^ Well, not all of them... But alot ;) OK this is just something i thought yall would find interesting. This is not my list and i do not take credit for it. List is by Mario777 of CarForums.net Zero to 60 & 1/4 Miles Times This collection of 0-60 and 1/4 mile times has been accumulated from many different sources over the past few years. These sources include vehicle testing done by "the experts" at Car & Driver, Motor Trend, Road & Track, various written auto publications and from the auto manufacturers themselves. The list below provides "factory stock" road test figures for most of the Makes & Models of "production" vehicles that are available in the United States...
PLEASE ONLY PM ME WITH YOUR NEW OR UPDATED TIMES/MODS. If you only post your mods/times they will most likely be overlooked and not added. This is the official ET/MPH list. PM me any relevant info on your run, aka time slips and videos. Also list your mods, try and follow the format you see below. If you dont have the time to follow the format, ill organize your info, but any help is appreciated. Suggestions are welcomed. We will use only vehicles relevant to this forum. I only used 1/8th on my personal run because I have not hit the 1/4 yet, but send what you have. Lets get a list going guys and gals... Stock, modified, whatever!!!! OK, so I just completed a TT, welded up some 2" lift shackles, and put on some 31x10.50x15 tires on my 97. I still need to find a front driveshaft from a 4.6l expedition because I swapped in a 4406 transfer case and got rid of the AWD crap. I was wondering if there are any gains to be had in getting rid of the extra two catalytic converters on the truck, and putting in dynomax turbo mufflers? I wont be running headers yet (dont have the $), but would just getting rid of the extra cats, and putting in high flow dual mufflers net any kind of performance gain? I will probably just run 2 1/4 or 2 1/2 from the cats back. However, I cant stand anything loud. I am looking more to pick up some torque and HP, and not so much sound. I have a...
For forced induction air I've done research and maybe mistakin but it seems that if you drive a 5-speed manual that a bypass or blowoff valve is reccomended, if this is so for us guys just running 6psi what spring rate should we be looking forward to getting? Like when the throttle is suddently close from WOT Does the boost almost double since it has nowhere to go? I'm not looking forward to upgrading pulleys anytime soon, but am I to only get a valve when going over 12 psi? I don't have access to a boost valve yet, as I don't think its needed or am I wrong?
Congrats to Brad the new owner of my former TTSaleen project! Brad made it to Dragging Rights today and made his first ever dragstrip pass in the car. 1st pass - Left easy, lifted before 1,000 feet. On the brakes ran a 10.70 @ 107. 2nd pass - Left easy, tires started hazing top of 2nd and 3rd gears. Banged out a 9.93 @ 148 mph on the exact same tuneup I ran at Darlington, SC 2 years ago! Pump gas only (93 octane) and 17 pounds max boost. Big SHOUT-OUT to Fastlane Motorsports for building such a bad ass combination that literally ANYONE can hop in and drive but still have the power to run like this one does! Awesome job guys! Anyone have the pages of the manual to R&R the heads on a 4.0 OHV in electronic format? I'd like to read up on what all is required. I have already done the lower intake gaskets myself, so I cant imagine there is a whole lot more to replacing the heads (Order of parts removal after the lower intake comes off, torque specs, bolt tightening pattern....). scrap this.........found what I needed
OK, I know this isn't the right section but I need some visibility. 2015 F-250 Company Truck (106,000 Miles) Had a rough start issue on colder mornings so I figured spark plugs. Since it's a lease truck we can't work on them. Dealer came back and said spark plugs and the Electronic Throttle Body is failing. Never had any symptoms of that. Parts will not be available till Wednesday. Monday I am scheduled to go back to Miami (1,000 Miles and 13 Hours 1 way) We have an F-250 in the shop yard that I could use but I would have to transfer about 1,000 lbs of service tools that I need for the job. A real turd of a job because I basically live in my truck. QUESTION: Anyone have experience with a failing throttle body? Do they just go...
Not sure if this is the correct spot to post kills but.... Well this morning coming to school a 240sx was tailgating me for like 2 exits on the expressway...keep in mind theres hardly anyone on the road that early in the morning So i see from the corner of my eye that he just steps on the gas and zooms besides me. I was like "eh another ricer". He slows down and i started to think to go for it..haven't raced anyone for about 2 months, last time was w/ the truck i traded in for the explorer....long story short...i got him when we went at it...like half way he started to pull but then the explorer shirted into the last gear (i think) and i hauled his ass! Was very impressed..first time i pass the 100mph mark in this truck...we got...
I have a bone stock powertrain in my 2002 ST. I am looking for something like a police tune or a tune that someone else may have done on their 4.0l sohc. I put larger tires on and would like to give it a little more power but don't want to sacrifice that much mileage. I know factory motors are not optimally tuned from factory but that's all I would like to do.
So I've been fighting with throwing codes and lack of performance the past couple weeks in the truck. I'm getting annoyed....OK that's a lie, I'm past annoyed. Haha I've reflashed the ecu, swapped in new Bosh o2 sensors and I'm still throwing a PO1100 code. I have gotten all the other codes under control but drivability is becoming an issue now. I'm able to drive it fine if I don't bring it up into the 6,000rpm range, but where's the fun in that? If I bring it up to 6,200rpm during a hard run it stutters BAD between shifts and when power comes back it's only about half what it should be for my truck. I've got a dyno appointment for Aug 10th so unfortunately I won't be able to get any track time until after then. I have...
