What should i do?? this past sat i went out to westimer(late nigth street racing n houston) and the speed bug bit me n tha a$$:D i wanna be quicker and faster so i was thinking what should i do rebuild my 4.0 and throw n some "go fast" stuff or get crazy and rebuild the 302 block n my garage, i wanna go wit tha 302 but i have no clue n wht to do to be able to drop it in my ex and still be able 2 have the ac( if i didnt have a lil son i would drop ta ac, plus it gets hot dwn n TX) but yea what should i do i had to ask u guys cause i love all the help every 1 gives..haha. Any help or suggestions would be great.
Well, I'm trying to finish setting up my NX, and I need to tap into the fuel rail. I'd like to go in at the end of the rail, as there is a plate, fitting, and shrader valve back there. The thread on the fitting is the exact same as a tire valve cap. Anyways, I ordered an adapter block for a V6 05 Mustang, thinking it was the same as the 4.0 from '01. The design and shape is the same, but it's offset just about a millimeter or two, meaning it won't work. Now I have a nice $50 paperweight (which is going on eBay soon). I was just wondering how the rest of you guys have tapped in to add a gauge, or get fuel to a NX solenoid. I'm thinking it will be 1/16", but I'm running out of money guessing ordering parts. Any help?
Hey guys.. i have a 98' X sport and i need some help on what modds i should do first. This is my first car so i want to do everything right. I was thinking doing the K&N air intake, Flowmaster exhaust, and headers from explorer express. but i'm not sure on what to do first, should i do performance over looks or looks over performance?? If anyone can help me out that'll be great thanks - CHRIS
What the heck does that little resistor do? The one on ebay for 1.99 up to 35.00. It says that it tricks your computer or something for improved performance. The pictures show it plugs into a connector by the master cyl or something. Where I live, nobody does anything other than drive their Xs. I have no friends when it comes to my truck. Nobody knows anything about them. I HATE BEING CHASTIZED!!! I love her.;)
Wondering what MAF i should go with on my 96 4.0 ohv turbo. Maxing the stock one out at 5lbs. Little breakdown of the setup: Front mounted GM-4 Turbo .38 exhaust/ .41 intake, Custom exhaust manifold for turbo. 30lb Accel injectors, Meth kit, Non-Intercooled, HKS SSQV Bov, 3 inch downpipe dumped infront of Passengers side wheel. SCT Switch Chip W/ Base map, AEM ugeo wideband, Stock fuel pump. Ive been told by my local tuner that the 99+ Lightning or 03-04 Cobra MAF should be suciffent for my setup W/tuning of course. is there any other solutions? Been running 5-6 psi daily for 8 months now. and 14-16 when necessary to pull those pesky damn LS1 cars.

Im kinda running out of performance mods to do to my truck (ithout getting a blower) I was just wondering what else I could do to get some more hp. So far I have Full intake (open air filter, and pipe from maf to throttle body) Bbk 66mm throttle body Apten Chip Bosch Platinum plugs Magnecor wires Cat back exhaust 55 shot of n2o what else is there for me to do? I dont want a new maf, headers, or superchager.
I was wondering with a lowered TT/Shackles, Bamachip, Intake and 2.5' catback... what would I be able to run with as far as other trucks or SUVs? I know the SCT Xcaliber is good for almost 20rwhp and 20ft lbs but what about intake and a catback? I would just like to know what trucks or SUV's I should or shouldn't bother playing with. SOHC 4.0
well i decided to see where i stand and also see what my HP would be on my program. i beleive i did quite well for the bolt-on apps that i have done. my best time was 16.573 seconds in the 1/4 mile time @ 80.79 MPH with an alright reaction time of .803 seconds. i am happy, i figured i would be in the hi 17's or so. but what really made my day, was i smoked a 1990 fullsize bronco with a rebuilt V8 with headers and exhaust work done. i know my standards were a bit low, but hey, he wasn't too happy to hear that he got beat by a V6 :bounce: well if anyone else wants to display there best E/T's on this thread, i think it would make for a really good thread.
