My Ebay "no reserve" special. :p Living in Alaska, we were soon to move to Vegas for my wife to attend UNLV, so we searched around for a smaller vehicle for the big city. We were currently driving a F350 extended cab dually with the V10, which seemed a little large for Vegas. We settled on a Sport Trac, and found this Island Blue available on Ebay with no reserve, so I thought, "what the hell, lets see if I can't get this thing cheap." We ended up buying it for 15K, which was 5-7K less than we had found anywhere else at the time for something with similar options and mileage. We flew to DC, picked the truck up, drove it to Vegas, threw it in storage and flew back to Alaska. Finally after 6 months, we flew down to Vegas and...

Although there are many posts on valve train timing I have yet to see one that shows a picture of the cam lobe position of #1 and #5 cylinder. It appears to me that the reference to the crankshaft at TDC for #1 and #5 leaves the cam on the right side with the offcenter slot for the cam holding tool 180 degrees out of time....the left side is fine, it just evacuated..the right side shows lobe to be standing straight up, a 1/2 turn from end of compression, and the offcenter slot is opposite the left. Any suggestions??--guess i could include the details of the engine--- 4.0 L sohc (E)..125,000 mi.---replacing , #1 piston, wrist pin, and rod---main and rod bearings. piston rings...and all timing chains and sprockets.
hello everyone finally the eddie is on the road. i dont have a whole lot of drop in it yet only about enough the compensate for the glorious rear end squat on these. here are some pictures. not very good pictures but here are the stats so far: 1.5 drop in front 17" lincoln aviator wheels (very ****ty offset!) ebay intake magnaflow 2.5" exhaust hypertech tuner and a ton of tune up work
This is a picture of a truck that looks just like mine. It's a 2000 Saleen XP8. I saw it at the Seattle International Auto Show and tracked it down to a dealer. It's number 12 of 18 made that year. It's missing the window sticker now because I thought it looked hideous. It's a normally aspirated AWD. I've been thinking about a blower (Kenne/Bell) but can't quite justify the expense. (I know. Why be rational?) Anyway, that's all I can think of right now. Looking forward to hearing from you.
