I have a 98 XLT with the stock rims, I was wondering if they are 15x7 or 15x8? And what are they made of?

Hey guys I just got anuff money together to get some rims for my explorer. I have a 97 4 door limited AWD explorer and I would like to get some 22s for it. But i don't want to make any modifactions to the truck like rasing it or something to get them to fit. What size 22 would fit and what tire size do I need. Also what kind of offset and bolt pattern too. Thanks in advance and does anyboby have any 22s you would recommend.

i got a 91 xlt 4 door 4x4 i just bought im looking for a after market wheel for it i work at a tire shop so shouldnt be a problem but want to see what you have and what it looks like with different wheels. right now im leaning towards a american racing neptune wheel. should i go 15x7 or 15x8? plmk thanks fourboys

...and there was no problem with the transaction, but the service writer i dealt with was perhaps the biggest pr!ck in the tri-state area. this guy couldnt have been more bothered by me. i just wanted to give him my receipt, my VIN #, and my tires, and apparently this was too much to ask of him. he still did it, but the whole thing leaves a sour taste in my mouth. then he picked up the phone just as i was asking him a question, and when i tried to get his attention, he turned and ignored me. i just left a voicemail for the service manager at the dealership saying what happened and that im going to a different dealership from now on (even though i dont go to the dealership anyway, except for warranty work.) it was probably a...

Equal: Has any one heard of/ used this product? I was doing some research and came across this product. It's a plastic granual, that you put inside your tires (4 oz of the product for a 33x12.5). It claims that there is no need for lead weights for balancing. I've heard of guys putting golf balls inside their over sized bias mud tires, so I guess this stuff works off that premise. Any info would be great!

So I just came back from Costco an I was checking out some Bridgestone Duellers. I have some problems w/ my BFGs(see previous post). The guy working the counter told me that Costco tire shops would not install LT rated tires (6 ply) on Explorers only passenger tires (4 ply). What is this about? Rico

They should be here next week. I origanly was getting some ION 171B & bought them from Rim-Zone off Ebay. The ION's were back ordered so he offerd me the DC-1 blacks for the same price:thumbsup:

how much lift do you think i would need to fit 26 inch rims? ive come across a set with tires.. 305 30 26.. yeah i know its stupid, dumb, retarded, pointless, etc... but i think it would be fun, any tips or pointers would be nice!

Ok, today was the day I finally could go get my 31's put on my truck. I drive all the way out to Discount, after calling ahead and making a appointment, and checking price, availability, etc. Well I pay for em, they pull milage, check rim size blah blah, pull the truck in and then tell me minutes later they were not allowed to put anything other than factory stock size on any Explorer. I was refunded and sent packing. Is this something new, and does it apply any where else? I expect the Uhaul turndown, but not this.

Some of you know I bought X-24's wheels. Since I got them weather has not been on my side :( Well the snow has melted, it has been reasonably dry so my Ex, ( aka Zorro ) got all cleaned and spiffied up and on goes the wheels. What pressure do you run in your street tires? How often do yo actually check the pressure?

we got a good wet snow today with a few inches laid down and im very disappointed in my tires to say the least. sure they are knock off wal mart bfg's so i wasnt expecting much but i had to put the truck in 4wd to take off from stop lights in slush! when the tax refun check gets here i'm going to be getting some 33s and want something that is durable. so far im sticking with BFG's cause ive always had good wear out of them. I need a tire that is as good in the dirt as it is in the snow yet handles and wears exceptionally well. I was happy with my T/A KO's but was thinking about a MT. Which am i gonna be more satisfied with? the truck sees mild-moderate trails, a few good snows each winter, rain and a little mud. not looking...

Hi! I am sorry if this question has been asked before but here goes. I am looking into buying some mustang bullit wheels and tires and i am having some trouble finding the right one. I went on e-bay and found a replica mustang wheel ... the seller says the wheel will also fit the explorers. i searched a little more and i found another replica wheel that sells cheaper but this one says nothing about if they fit the explorer .... so i e-mailed the seller and got no response from him ... so now i have come here to ask for your help. here are the two links ... the first one is for the one that is advertised to fit the explorers and the second is the one i am having trouble with...
