WHOOPS!!

Sometimes things don't always go as planned. Post pictures and stories of your best...or worst mishaps here.
This past week a lady stopped short in front of me and I rear-ended her. I panicked, but she was extremely nice. It was at about 20 mph. I really was relieved to see the damage on my explorer. My front license plate was scratched, that's IT. The Dodge Durango I hit had to get a whole new bumper. It was a big mistake, but I'm glad to know my explorer is so safe.
Ok here's my story.. But it wasn't me that got stuck. What happened was a friend of mine went offroading at night and got stuck turning around. The frame was hung up and considering the temperature was about -5 degrees he didnt stick around long and called me up. Now here's the funniest part of the story. My friend insisted on tagging along with his vw gti instead of riding with me. So we got to the trail and I put myself into position to try to pull him out. The towrope snapped and considering we were all really cold and not well prepared. Note: This happened at 5 A.m. So we called it a night. My friend tried to turn around in his gti and he got stuck. Good grief.. He said his winter tires will never get him stuck. Well he got stuck...
Just linking to my registry, to tired to copy the entire post of my WHOOPS!!!!!!! http://www.explorerforum.com/forums/showpost.php?p=2436804&postcount=34 Could also note my brothers WHOOPS!!!!!! 2002 jeep grand cherokee overland ed. *cough cough* He has video on his cell phone, such a show off. Went to Lake Monroe in Monroe County Indiana, allens creek ramps and got bored on their trails which are not suppose to be driven on since the sign states, "No vehicles off main roads" or something like that. My ex had fun up there in two wheel mode. But to his story Show off in him went off roading or in my opinion, Fording the lake in his jeep. Lol He enjoyed it so much and glad to say he made it out and still drives...
Ok so this is still early and no pics or videos are posted but here's story and a link to the thread. Last week 3vehicles went up to the glacier and it was a baby cake trip. On the way out they hit quick mud and a Nissan got stuck. Attempted recoveries failed. Then several guys from the local board set up for a run Thursday to go get the nissan. This is where things go horribly wrong. The guys assiting in the recovery were crossing a river when they got washed away. No one was hurt first off. They were able to recover one vehicle it was only buried in the silt up to the axles. But apparently 2 nissans and a TJ were lost in the river and are gone. 3 Vehicles lost in river
It all started saturday night on the way home from work. I was driving home from work it was snowing prety bad(i live south of chicago) complete white out, hit a drift and was sucked into a ditch. Wasn't all that bad, drove it out but I still put it in to the ditch. Monday during shcool my friend asks me if i want to go drive around in the snow in his back yard, i do. I found a drift about 2ft deep and 30 ft long, i figured i could make it. Wrong I get stuck, have to dig my truck out because everyone i know that has a 4x4 is at basketball practice. I didnt have any boots so i had to walk in the snow with my vans on, very cold. Thursday was going to be a good day. I asked a girl if she would go to the dance with me. She said yes...
So im in colorado right now working for a ski resort. So last night a local chick that i met was buggin me to come out since i didnt go the night before. so after a wonderful guilt trip i decided to go. so im driving from the town im stayin in to the next. its about a 20 minute drive. well it had been snowing durring the day and this is my first time in this environment. so im driving and there is a car infront of me that keeps flashing his brakes at me. im not even that close but ok. so we get into the next town and the speed limit is 35. cool with me. so i am goin 35 and this guy still keeps flashing his brakes at me so i get in the right hand lane. well once i do that he wants to get over too. im like what in the world is goin on. so...
First off no pics until tomorrow when it is light out but i'd rather type out the post since i just got out. I've pulled off the back of my field many times to mess around or get something out of the back i don't want to carry. The problem here is the massive amount of rain i received last night that i forgot about. I pulled through once, stopped, and got out to retrieve the section of fence my buddy needed. Being semi brain dead i decided to pull off again and go left and back up to the front just for fun. Bad stuff happened shortly after that decision. I pulled off and had to go uphill and dug in. By the time i got it in 4 low i could back out of the hole i created but i then could only back into the swampy spot. I sank...
Wow 2009 has not been my year! So my Limited is now dead. I was hopping it would not be totaled but it has been. Last night I went over a big hump in the road and I had just took the weight out of my back end. I fish tailed long story short I met this nice guy named Tree... Yeah totaled. I might buy it back and rebuild it my self, not to sure yet only time will tell! ###k I have been freaking out. There is a RARE chance it might not be totaled but I don't see that happening... :( Oh well what can I do? I will just take off all my everything and put then on another one! Is that looking at the right side? Can Rick change my Screen Name to take in a account my new truck? If I do end up with a new one? Damn! Ugh! Oh...

we are in the midst of a class 6 firestorm with 400 foot flames that they are saying has allready taken 300 homes in my once beautifull town of Kelowna,BC Canada.I would geuss the estimate of 300 is high, media initial reports are allways blown way out of proportion.I know for a fact we have had significant losses and 30,000 people in our town are evacuated. From my house I can see flames. From 2km down the road I can see houses burning. At one point lastnight the firefighters dropped all their gear, hopped off their equipment and ran for their lives. you can see what I can see at www.castanet.net this is bad.check out the pics on that site.I am on evacuation alert. That means I have to be ready to go...
