WHOOPS!!

Sometimes things don't always go as planned. Post pictures and stories of your best...or worst mishaps here.
Firstly, I don't have any pics of the actual stuck, so don't ask ;) Anyway, last Thursday Jon and I decided to go out and have a little fun. This local mudding spot is only about 10 minutes away, and we just wanted to get the trucks a little dirty and have some quick fun. So we went out on a dirt road about a mile and then the road got really wet and mushy. We keep going and it's not too much trouble, but I had to keep my momentum and revs up in many places as not to get stuck. Well Jon takes a turn onto another road and 3 minutes later I get stuck. Turns out this road isn't just mud, it's very sticky (and wet) clay. Jon started to back up to strap me out, and promtly backed himself up straight into a large hole. So now...
So I was over at my dads house on saturday night finishing the rack and bumpers I made for my 92 ford explorer. It started to rain so I put up the equipment for the night and went in to take a shower. I heard a screech then a bang. So I threw my clothes back on ran out and my truck was gone. I looked outside the gate (that was leaning on my dads 99 dodge) and there it was. I pushed the gate open to look at it as another car hit the dumpster at the body shop next door. I ran back to the front door freaking out, relized I locked myself out I pounded on the door. My dad came out and we assesed the situation. Some guy came walking across the street and said he hit the dumpster after a white car ( not there hit my truck). The cops came about...
Well it finally happened. I always hear of folks being stuck somewhere for hours or even days. This time, it was me. :thumbdwn: Me and a few buddies went snowshoeing on Sunday. The trip was going very well until it was time to get going home. As soon as I started turing around, thud, right in the ditch. Seven hours later a buddie showed up and pull me and the Dakota that got stuck trying to get me unstuck out. The center of the road is solid, the sides are powder, and its all even. :fire:
Was driving home Thursday night and got rear ended. There was quite a bit of distance between my Ex and the cars in front of me when they slowed and stopped quickly. I brought the Ex to a controlled stop, no skidding, etc., and had about 5 feet to the car in front of me. A couple of seconds later....wham!!! I was alone, as was the driver who hit me. No one was hurt. He must not have been paying attention. My Ex, has a destroyed bumper cover and some damage behind it. Won't know all the damage until the body shop gets it. His Acura was a mess & undrivable. I didn't get any pictures at the seen. I will post some pics of my Ex later today. Just what I needed. Son of a biscuit!!
Well I bit the bullet this evening.. Driving in the DC metro area around 8:30.. My front passenger side decides it doesn't wanna conform to the rest of the group.. Either the upper ball joint or something failed and the next thing I know is my truck is laying on its side for a second before it bounces back up. Trucks' window & quarter already had some dents.. Now it has more dents.. Fender, doors, mirror are all damaged. I'll post pics in the AM..
This is a great story. Last weekend while driving by a muddy field by my place I noticed a Ranger up over its wheels in mud and nobody around. I waited around a while to see if I could offer assistance. About 10 minutes later the owner showed up with his dads Blazer to try and pull it out. While he was hooking up another guy comes along with a Hummer H2. He was the Man!!! Drove in through the mud, asks the guy if he wants a tow, pulls up in front of the rRanger, AND GETS STUCK!!! It was funny!!! Now for the good part. I managed to tow the Hummer out with my Ex. I was on the shoulder of the road with good traction and a long tow rope. And I have pictures to prove it. I will post them as soon as I figure out how to do it.It turned out to...
Driving around town last week, I was approaching a red light and coming to a stop when suddenly my truck got slammed from the rear right corner. Some woman making a right onto the street I was on looked to her left, saw she was clear, and failed to look to her right before making her turn and rapidly accelerating - right into the corner of my rear bumper. She hit me pretty hard, hard enough to move the rear of the truck and for me to let a string of profanity fly as I pictured the potential damage. When I got out I was shocked to find her front end looking like it had been chewed on by a yeti - completely ruined bumper and hood - while the damage to my rig was relatively minor. My rear bumper was pushed 2 inches to the left, the right...
The suspense is over! Here are the long-awaited pics from our most recent trip up to Silver Lake dunes. The day was a bit overcast and cloudy, but there was no line,so we figured it would be a great day. The day started out pretty cool. we watched trucks try to climb the first in the series of 3 large dunes, then headed down by the lakefront to splash around. We decided to explore some other areas of the dunes and came upon a nice water hole. Several people made passes at it and were having a lot of fun...but th efun soon came to an end. I was riding in ESPNfreak's black 96 with my friend in the back. I didn;t want to bring my new truck out there since i promised my parents I would not offroad my daily driver. So anyway..we go through...
Well tomorrow happens to be my b-day and of course I get involved in an accident the day prior. Basically I was heading southbound on a 2 lane major roadway in Falls Church, VA and the asshat, who unfortunately had a 94 Explorer decided to run thru the red light and turn right.. I saw him coming into the intersection while I was halfway thru it and veered into the opposite directions' lane to avoid him and he still managed to hit me.. WTF Thankfully he was issued a citation. Normally I don't advocate elderly people losing their ability to drive but this guy needs to be euthanized. Hell he's lucky I didn't become psychiotic and ventilate him & his wife with about 30 rounds from my gun (I was gonna go to the range today but not...
