WHOOPS!!

My Explorer gave her life for me on 11/1/13. I was traveling 60 mph on Brownfield Hwy in Lubbock, TX when a Buick Verano failed to yield to oncoming traffic and pulled in front of me. I didn't have time to react or even tense up before broadsiding the Buick on its passenger side. The lady who was driving was of advanced age and had no idea what had happened, but otherwise uninjured. Her passenger (the driver's daughter) went to the hospital with life threatening injuries. It was not a good night last night. I have a beautifulbrand new 2013 Limited Explorer only 6 weeks old. Well, our 9 year old barfed lobster (with shrimp & crab) ravioli alllllll over the back seat last night. While I am very thankful for the leather seats this does not help the floor carpet, the stitching, the seat belt mechanisim, all the nooks and crannies...it was voluminous amount to say the least. So, hubby and I scooped and cleaned as best we could, left the windows down in the garage over night. So, the question is, does anyone here have good suggestions about odor control? I fear I have prematurely lost my beloved new car smell but I am unwilling to give that up to barf smell. I am quite content with heavy duty...

I went through a little hole on a pipeline behind my house that I've been thru before but this time the ruts were good bit deeper and I was just sitting on the frame. The failsafe crap started flashing but the truck never died and I left it running til I got it out bout an hour later. The failsafe mode never showed up again but had a CEL on after that. Water wasn't over the tires but just over the bottom of the door sill on the driver side. After we got it pulled out it ran fine. Drove in to town to spray it off at the car wash and came home. Last night i was replacing the driver side upper control arm on my 99 explorer. And i had a heck of a time getting the bolts out then getting them back in was hellicious. The right side went in like a dream then the left side fell inbetween the steering buckle and inside the frame. Took me literally 38 minutes to get the bolt out of that spot. Still have all new shocks, brakes and rotors so i'm sure i'll be back to post more opps lol

a couple of doozies from the last few years. In the Taurus I fell asleep at the wheel on a rural road with the cruise set at 65 mph. No real damage, got lucky. The Chevy was alcohol related and cost me some time and money replacing all the fluids. All in good fun.

Ok so I was mudding in my explorer and got it stuck in the middle of the night down near a boat dock. Well try as we might we couldnt get it out bc it was sitting on the frame and the back wheel wasnt touching ground some how. Well we had to leave it over night but it eneded up raining and flooding on us and not its sitting under water. We tried all day to find someone to help get it out with no luck so its still there :( . We got a guy coming in the morning with a dozer to pull it out of the water if it isnt hiring then it already is but what do I need to do to fix it so I can drive it again. A couple of weeks back we got a decent snow. I work an hour away from home, so I don`t normally drive my F350 since it gets 10 mpg. But when it snows, I get to drive it. I was involved in an attempted hit and run accident and the CHP officer who wrote the report did not include the fact that I had to chase the other driver. Luckily for me, the other driver took the course where I could eventually catch up to her due to a toll plaza. Once there, the CHP took almost an hour to respond and then the officer generated a generic report to where none of the "CHASE" scenario was included. I did submit a supplemental to the report and the officer informed me that the supplemental will be added to the original report. Well, my Ex is dead. about 3 weeks ago on my way home from school and all of a sudden, the motor just quit. I pulled over and checked all my gauges and every thing was where it should be. So I turned the key and it turned over a little slow but still started up fine. So I kept going and as I turned onto the road I live on it quit again. Leaving from family's house last night on the way back home, I had someone pull out in front of me while I was going 40mph. He was pulling across traffic to stop in the median, well he stopped in my lane. I locked up the truck and knew I wouldn't be able to stop in time, I was already too close. I tried to swerve into the other lane to avoid hitting him. I ended up still hitting his quarter panel but avoided t-boning him. For hitting him at 40mph I had less damage than expected.
