After tons of research, I was convinced that the 2011-2012 Ford Explorer 20" wheels would fit a 2006-2010 Ford Explorer. A lot of people said they wouldn't because the new Explorer platform is based off the new Taurus. It is similar with both vehicles being front wheel drive. I read on here that the center hub bore of both wheels were 70.5-70.6. I the. Went ahead and bought the wheels to come to find out that they do fit. The offset is the same at 44mm. But the hub center bore of the Explorer 20" wheel did not mount flush with my 2009 rotor. There was about 1/8" gap. The center hub bore of the Explorer/Taurus 20" wheels is about 67.3 mm. I ended up having to take the wheels to a machine shop and bore the center opening a bit larger. I bought the wheels like new for 500 dollars so I didn't mind spending 80 dollars at the shop to make them fit flush. You will also need to buy new bands an reuse your sensors for the 20" wheels. This has been an ongoing questionable topic and I am one of the first that I know off to have the new Explorers 20" wheels on my 09 Explorer. I like the Sport Trac/Moutainer/Explorer 20"s but these almost look better.

This has been an ongoing questionable topic and I am one of the first that I know off to have the new Explorers 20" wheels on my 09 Explorer.
