We survived!! K&Q were awesome and helped out a bunch when hubris got the better of me and lead us into a snow-packed trail. Hardest green rated trip ever. Lots of fun though once it became apparent that we could get out by winching.

We spent Monday doing Chicken Corners and Fins and Things. Fins took out our token jeeps exhaust system, which we fixed with some ratchet straps and a hose clamp. My rear springs finally gave up the goat and we have to repack them on the trail with a floor jack and...some ratchet straps (they are like my zip-ties, I use them for everything).

We spent Monday night up at our usual camp spot and are currently at Denny's getting ready to head back to AZ.

Certainly the most memorable trip to Moab yet! Pics to come!

Here is a couple from the La Sal mountains. Where the fun began. Really was not that bad seemed everyone was happy and calm. There were a few jokes made from time to time to ease the tension.

After a few hours of digging someone was asking about the winch we were figuring how much recovery length we had. I was asked how hard to wire the winch couple wires a few bolts good to go. That is when we decided it would be easier and safer to just take the winch off carry it down bolt it up and wire it up.

last photo was the only group photo i have. when i figure the soft ware to the gopro out i will post a few videos of playing in the rocks. if anyone knows of easy editing software let me know.

Snow can definitely be challenging!

Any photos of the rigged up winch??

i don't have one glasken might have one. he had a winch bumper just bolted it down with the cables hanging out of the hood. My phone and camera had dead batteries.

Are you guys returning to Moab for 2108? Haven't seen a thread on it yet.

I have heard some folks talk about it. I need to start a new thread to gauge interest.
