Mix acetone and atf 50/50 and soak the crap out of the nut threads. Let sit overnight, do it again. Buy a proper size wrench or use a pipe wrench with extension if needed. Heat from a propane torch may help also.
And if needed, place a rag underneath, wear an N95 mask and nitrile gloves...
How did you measure the gap? Comparing the gap between an old (worn) oem plug and a new plug might be the reason. (just a thought)
But, I still have an old set of oem plugs and an old set of HT-1. The gap is different, but I don't have a method to actually measure what that difference is.

I've been using HT-1 plugs for years with no issues.
Suggest cleaning the boots of the coils and applying some dielectric grease to the boots both inside and out.
I have a spare set of manifolds, so will pull them out tomorrow and provide those dimensions for you.
But I suspect that your manifold is warped and this is the reason for the sealing issue. You can easily check this if the manifold is off the vehicle, by laying a "carpenter's square" on them...

Agree with PL, use a mechanic's stethoscope. If you have either 4x4 or awd, get all 4 wheels off the ground then engage cruise control and probe each wheel bearing around the knuckle and close to the bearing. A noisy bearing will be quickly heard.
Do this in a safe manner, vehicle properly...

I've used a mity vac to pull out the old fluid (very slow process) and pumped in back in with a garden type sprayer. Measure what you take out, pump the same quantity back in.
