    Time for tires

The newer All Weather tires are a good compromise in areas that receive occasional snowfall. I Just put a set of Yokohama Geolanders that have the A/T rating and the 3 peak snowflake rating. While not a dedicated winter tire, they do significantly better in snow, and are good for light off...

Water in rear hatch / liftgate

It's actually your rear window washer. the tubing has come unhooked and every time you use it it's squiring water into the tailgate. Hook the hose back up and the problem is solved.

    2015 No start

I would agree with the fuel pump.

Can I use my previous winter tires on my 2020 Explorer

The standard says stay within 3% difference. I wouldn't use them because you are looking at a 4.8" diameter difference, and a 10.8% sidewall difference. But it's up to you. Speedometer will be off 3 to 4 mph at normal driving speeds.

Explorer XLT - Is this jerk/lunge common?

I seriously doubt that it's your driving style. I have had 2 Explorers with the 2.3L ecoboost engines, and they were very smooth shifters. Yes, the 2.3L takes some getting used to because I always had the V-6 engines, but gas mileage is a lot better, about 19 city and 25 on the highway, so...

    2018 Explorer XLT 3.5L. Engine Whine/Whistle Noise

I'm going to take you back to a different generation Explorer, with a different motor and transmission. 2008, doing exactly what you are describing. Turns out it was a transmission issue. And the bad part is, it took a new transmission to fix it. They tried valve body and some other things...

    Don't curb a rim / wheel

20" and larger rims are a royal PITA because the tires offer no protection. I have rims with curb rash, but I'm not replacing them with the chance of just having it happen again. I think the best approach is to just run them, or have them refinished, rather than repair them. I think spending...

    2.3L Engine Noise

I have had a 2016 and now a 2018 with the 2.3L. Yes, compared to the old 3.0 NA V-6 I was used to driving in a 2014, the 2.3L is a bit noisy and unrefined at low speeds around town. But out on the highway it's quite smooth and it gets 26 MPG on the highway vs 18 in my old 3.0L. So, I can live...

Solved My transmission shifts hard after battery replacement.

Actually, I disconnect my battery and reset the transmission about every 10,000 miles. I allow it to relearn my driving patterns.

Overall impressions of the 2020 Explorer?

Where in the name of God's green earth, do you need the power plant in the ST or Platinum? I don't see it. But Ford has sucked people into paying $55,000 so the can say they have a "fast SUV." Whoopee Do. An XLT with the 2.3L is probably the sweet spot, and hopefully you can buy it for under...

    Is the lower valence necessary?

Remove it. I did on my 2014 and it affected mileage less than 1 MPG. And then it didn't drag on a horse turd. I'd do it on my 2018, but it's a lease.

    2020 Paint Issues

In 1977 I bought a Chevy Blazer, K5 the full size Blazer. It was white with tan interior, except the rear seats were blue! It was ordered and that's how it was delivered to the dealer. The dealer called me and said come look at your new Blazer, do you see anything odd? Nobody seemed to know...

HELP.. Wont start, has a lot of errors (Resolved)

Bad battery. My 2016 did the same thing when the battery went. Normally I replace batteries at the end of the 3rd year, This one beat me to it.

    2020 Explorer Transmission

I really think a 10 speed transmission is a bit much. Especially up and down the hills here in WV.
