Depends, is this your DD,is it going to spend a majority of its time on the streets but also want to wheel it then disconnects, if its mostly a trail rig driven only to and from trails then remove them.

sounds more like an electrical problem not a seat issue, you should be able to swap out the controls. Have you checked the fuse for the power seat, seems odd to me all the seat options would go at the same time, unless its electrical.
