Minor Rust inside Door Sill

Ive noticed some minor rusting appearing just inside the sill of the drivers door. It looks like some paint may have been chipped off and some water damage has occured. When the door is closed it cant be seen. The rest of the bodywork is fine.

The jeep is only 3 years old, so i don't want to go down the road of a paint job.
What is the best solution to spray/ repair minor rust damage and prevent it from progressing?

The vehicle is an Explorer Sport, and has been subjected to some off road adventures over the years.

Thanks,

Can you post a pic or two?

Rust is never good, and is rarely minor. Nine times out of ten when you finally see it is has come from the inside out. The best you can do on the cheap is to slow it down.

Looks pretty innocent. Going to order some rust repair and spray paint online.
Thanks Monmix

seems like a cavity wax sort of product to me.
A product similar to this is what I use.

It is for inside stuff that has been repaired, it really does nothing to stop current corrosion.

Something like this would be closer to what you are after.
https://www.amazon.com/BlackStar-Ae...33&sr=8-2-spons&keywords=rust+converter&psc=1

It converts rust, but only surface and only the surface it comes in contact with. Penetrating rust will win every time.

Cheers Monmix. That rust convertor looks like a heavy duty product. If the wax oil isnt doing the job, i'll go for that.
Appreciate it.
