2013 paid 13700 for it and 1000 to ship it from Chicago to Nevada.
What I know:
AWD 88150 mi. when delivered
It was a VA medical center GSA police vehicle
it had full rear prisoner containment system(2 cages, plastic seats, no door panels)
The people removing stuff from it are morronic a holes that id love to slap several times
Console was added by the dealer after their purchase before sale to me, they added spot light from crown vic to fill the hole (was rusty chrome!)
The unit has full 4" sync bluetooth and discovered it has the line in and USB jacks- PIU only has two front door speakers but its wired for 4 (rear lower door panels but there are no cut outs for a factory speaker opening on the door panel.) Sirius antenna can be added to factory antenna cable in passenger kick panel area. I removed the center dash tray and modified the dashboard for the SPORT center channel speaker for my Two Way radio that will be installed, looks cleaner too!
Unit has Ballistic panels in the doors
Had bad door switch on driver door of course- people kept slamming the driver door to try and clear the crappy designed switch, and it caused the interior door skeleton to begin fracturing around the mounting holes for the window...morons!
Rear AC that eats up alot of room under the back cover that I could have mounted stuff in!
Has backup camera that works kinda erratically, and back up proximity sensors. Day night auto dim mirror too
UNIT HAS NO CAPACITY FOR REMOTE DOORS! WTF!? I was provided with a fob and fleet key on purchase but after trying to program and forscan use, forscan clearly says no RFU (remote function unit) unit found. This is the unit that has the RX for the keyless and remote doors/start that everyone else but me has..damn Im upset over this. Even has a hood switch cable kit! I cannot get ANY key fob to program to it...so all the research I have done says no way this could have ever worked. I have the keyless code card that matches the code under the dash, dunno what thats good for but what ever.
I spent most of yesterday replacing all the hardware in the vehicle that the "installers" left out
Door panel bolts are M8x1 and you'll need a larger diameter washer for them to work properly, All the rear seat hardware since they only gave me one bolt of each size and two screws. no hardware for the rear cover between the tire cover and back seat.
Numerous broken fasteners and door clips...anyhow Seems to drive straight, brakes aren't warped, 3 dents and one scratch in paint, few scuffs on plastic molding, Somehow lost one hubcap in transit that cost me another $50 to replace.
Was able to get 25.7 mpg this morning on the highway when it was 83 out with no AC but 22.3 coming home with AC on and 100 degrees outside.
Something making a light whining noise that changes with speed not RPM, need to have all the motor mounts, body mounts, tie rod ends, etc checked, along with a complete fluid change/flush on tranny and PTC module for rear wheels.
3 out of 4 tires need replaced so that's going to be pricy, spare is brand new however!
Thats what I know so far, & its been a solid day and a half of playing to get it cleaned up but as along as there isn't any major issues with trans or PTC I can get her back into shape. Have to look into after market remote start and door install now. crap!
