No doubt that is an Explorer. Seems that the quad exhaust is history unless it is available on certain trims.

The quad exhaust pipes or outlets were purely for aesthetics with the exhaust system being essentially the same for all models. What I find interesting is that it appears to have a longer hood, perhaps the traverse engine with an internal water pump could be an engine of the past, at least for some models.

From what I understand the design is to change very little, that this is more about a platform update than anything else. Moving from the D4 platform to the D6 platform.
