Hey all! My 91 Ford explorer v6 5speed has an issue with the fuel pump. When the fuse is in it runs constantly even with the vehicle off. My temporary solution was to wire up a toggle switch but I really don't like doing that, I would prefer to have it work normally. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced the same problem.
Any advise is welcome.
Thanks!
Calvin

Sounds like a stuck Fuel Pump Relay. Swap a nearby relay and see if it corrects the problem.

Always buy relays from Ford, Never the cheap stuff from auto parts stores!

Is that the one under the fuse bay under the hood? And is there a way to bench test it to be sure? Gotta be on a budget.

Issue is fixed. I went out and got the new relay on good faith and low and behold you guys were right!!! With like a charm. Thanks everyone for the advice!!!
