Just wanted to say hello and thank you for the great forum.

New Explorer owner from colorado. This isnt my first rig but my first Explorer. I am a little partial to the Bronco II but an explorer will do!

I recently picked up a 1998 Ford Explorer XLT 4x4 4.0 for next to nothing and plan on doing a moderate trail rig build for all the great trails here in Colorado.

This thing is bone stock with about 170k miles, no rust, and overall really good condition for its age! Ive got about $300 into this thing including license plates and will be slowly building it up this summer when time allows for it.

Wow, that's in great shape. Congrats on what looks to be a great deal:chug:

Very nice, enjoy!

Thanks for the welcome guys. I was doing some cleaning today and found the original window sticker in the glove box! Will make things a little easier when replacing parts for sure.

Cant wait to start tearing this thing apart haha!

I ended up doing a little maintenance today and must say it was much needed. I was getting a misfire code on cylinder #4 so decided to do the spark plugs and wires. It seemed to have corrected the issue but I feel an injector job is coming in the near future. This might be the nastiest spark plug ive ever seen!!
