Twas suggested I write an introduction, so this is it. I own 3 Explorers and one Ranger. The old 87 Ranger has been sitting and smiling for several years as the body mounts had rusted and the body dropped a few inches. Onto some vital connections making the old doozie undriveable. The 04, 01 XLTs are running terrific the 01 going on to 315k miles, the other 01 Sport I purchased a few weeks ago with 103k. All the Explorers have the SOHC V6. Have owned a 54 auto, a 56 wagon (312, 4bbl, 3 on the tree, great pipes and of course the greatest radios in America.) Currently getting suspension work done on the Explr Sport. New shocks, probably a new stabilizer bar, new plugs, fuel filter. It has a rough start idle needs checking also. Like the Black gizmo. Wondering how to add a few horses, but maybe fresh plugs will take care of that. Good running to all. Don.
