    Changed TPS (new) took intake manifold off and clean it along with the throttle body put some 98 octane gas and now runs good. smog test

    Okay Failed smog because of High Idle Rpm's How to adjust Idle on a 93 xl anyone know. I cleaned reluctance sensor, new cats, MAF, ICT, etc?

    After replacing MAF still had code 157 and 998.

    Traced signal of pin c to ECM no change in voltage. open ECM (ECM-IV) and found capacitor exploded. 10uf 63v (there is only one of them) R/R. runs good no code 157 and 998.

    It ended up being the ECM, something I did after soldering in new Caps. $130 RockAuto :)

    The code reader wouldn't do the KOEO test.

    here it is the 15 and still having trouble starting. I've cleaned TBI, MAF. It only happens after sitting for about 8 hours. used OBD1 tester and noticed that the KOEO test wasn't working. removed tester and it started. then pulled a KAM (Keep Alive Memory) error code. runs fine except the 157 and 998 codes (MAF needs to be relaced) I'll see if it does it tomm :)

    Did wiggle test truck cold starts now after wiggle test.

    Went to desert did some off-roading kicked up a lot of dust and bounced around for a couple of days.
