Get yourself some clr or phosphoric acid and some second skin undercoating. Lightly wire brush spray the clr then mask and spray the under coating. This has been on my 1st gen for years.

They say to use it every 20000 miles or so for a clean engine. I just use it when I'm board or the rig is on the old side.

If it truly is full of junk than I wouldn't want to run it online with the new one. I really do doute that it is, and if it is a good trans shop can flush it for u if it's not rotting away, or leeking.

1 fill fuid 2 put some lucus shift right if 1 dosnt help. 3 rebuild trans and get new converter. This is what I would do. Hope this helps.
