    The mighty front end roar.

    From all the other posts it sounds like you have this figured out, but in the Haynes Repair Manual it says "Cupping" on the tires may be caused by "Loose or worn steering tie-rod or steering idler arm" or "Loose, damaged or worn front suspension parts." Also may be bent or damaged wheel.
