    What size is the rear spindle nut on a 2002 Explorer? I tried a 35mm but it was too small. It is metric?

    Throw away rear hub?

    According to a 2004 Chiltons manual I just read, you are supposed to discard the old hub when replacing the rear bearings. Is this just a safety precaution to avoid misalignment problems in case the hub was damaged? Is this what Ford recommends? According to the forums, it sounds like most...
