    Iac thanks, so FORD has no idea what they have in their vehicles..ha ha. PCM, do not think it will be the PCM making that hight/low pitch humming noise.

    Thanks for responding. That I can do, I also look for the IAC, which I can not find nowhere on the explorer. According to Ford I should have one.

    our 2005 ford explorer having high pitch humming sound, sounds like coming from water pump or air leak front of the engine. Does anyone have any idea what this might be.
