    Thanks ive been reading and jacking it up seems to be a popular dionostic tool i'll give it a shot tomorro. Another thing when im driving at hwy speed and go over a hill it stops untill weight settles then its back.

    Thanks for reply. I just had it in the air everything is smooth spinning by hand im positive its not wheel bearings. Growl doesnt start till about 10 mph. im thinking its a bearing in the diff I just dont know why it happend again so fast. Thanks

    hey guys i have a 97 mountaineer v8 awd. Last year my front diff started growling very loud sounded like a bad bearing. I checked through all the standard stuff cv joints, wheel bearings, tires was all good. I got a used front diff just over 20,000 miles on it and installed it noise was gone...
